I'm posting this in The Spa because I pretty much only hire masseurs, tho of course I know some are also escorts. Ok guys, is it just me, or is it pretty much accepted that masseurs and escorts lie about their height?

If the ad says 5'7", the guy is 5'5" If the ad says 5'9" or 5'10", the guy is 5'7". You can pretty much reliably subtract 2 inches.. at least, from every guys height.

I was excited about a new masseur's ad a year or so ago because he was very close to my area and I really liked his pix, hunky, muscular, a bit hairy. We txtd arranged to meet and all was well. He advertised 5'10". I'm 5'7" or maybe even 5'6.5" :) I walked through the door an the guy was just a notch shorter than I. I was so angry I politely, but firmly said, this isnt going to work. He asked why. I said..your ad said you were taller. He stood there, looking me directly in the eye, and said "What are you talking about, I'm 5'10" " I was astonished that he could be so committed to his deception, or so powerfully lying to himself. I was tempted to re-book him under a different name, and show up with a tape measure just to drive the point home.

I'm on the shorter side, and I'm typically looking for a taller guy . the height matters to me, i want to be massage by a taller, fit, typically muscular guys. and whereas I can kinda see using a picture that's a few years old, or being a bit in denial about the extra 10lbs u put on, how can you possible support lying about something as absolutely objective as your height?

Lying liars are so used to lying they believe that they are taller....more muscular....hung big....and 21.....comes with the total experience...

All levity aside, why is height such a big concern in a masseur? You'll be on a table or bed, it doesn't seem to matter as much.

It matters because it matters to the person expecting a certain type....One winter in Ft Lauderdale HTG...a 'not much more than midget" showed up...I was eyes opened wide...gave him $50 and helped him out the door....sorry he was so short..maybe 5' tall....maybe....but not on my time...that's why it matters...it matters to who does the hiring..images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRGI5C46Oeuyin8IvEWR5xUuGNvNUKuhiLFy2aaE4bASJoz1iye

Masseur 6'3" and taller, pro:

  • long reach = long, continuous strokes
  • long arms x long torso = good leverage
  • normally weigh at least 180 lbs = strong, deep pressure
  • large hands = better grip
  • I'm tall myself, and being touched by a man taller than me has a special frisson.
  • often proportionally larger elsewhere

Masseur 6'3" and taller, con:

  • less likely to climb up on my back
  • too heavy for ashiatsu

I have to agree with Very Happy Customer... I am 6'3" and pretty big all over, and when I have had shorter guys for massage, they are not typically able to give me as good a massage as someone who is taller and stronger. There are exceptions to every rule, and I have had a couple of experiences where the shorter and smaller masseur climbed on the table when I was face down and also face up. Those were great massages! But, to each his own !!!

Swinging Richards had a midget working for quite a while. He actually did quite well on tips, but was seldomly asked back for lap dances or private dances. His equipment was regular sized...that answered a question I thought would be most inappropriate to ask.

Unike other attributes which are subject to some interpretation (I'm 40 but people constantly tell me I look younger; I weigh 205 but carry it well, etc)..someone's height is immediately knowable and not really subjective. And YES in general, taller men are more easily able to administer a thorough massage of the sort I like.

Its pretty much the internet, what used to be called AOL inches. And 5'7" seems to be the aspirational height for people shorter than that.

When I have a massage, particularly one performed on a table, I find a masseur that is at least 5' 10" typically is able to get the knots out a little better than a shorter gentleman. I'm sure there is a science based answer about the taller guy having better leverage or something.

I have not found that to be the case - height has not seemed related to quality at all. But I always get a massage on an adjustable table.

But it does relate to what turns us on. I am most attracted to very tall men. So, if I hire someone I believe to be a certain height, get there and find him to be shorter than my 5'9", I am VERY disappointed.

A former NYC escort once wrote "I'm 5'7" dammit!" as his rentboy headline. I found it funny because there wasn't any explanation why he wrote that, and so emphatically. I wondered if people pointed it out or even turned him down because of his height (or lack of). The reality was he wasn't even 5'7" because I saw him on the street in NY and relative to me he appeared to be closer to the height of a dear friend who is much shorter. But it all depends on proportions too. I once saw an escort who purported to be 5'10" but it turned out he was more 5'7", but because he had a longer torso and longer features, he looked taller.

I like either - I like tall men because they're tall and short men because they're short. Literally, my only must-have is muscle. I like all different types of muscle - thin and cut, bodybuilder big, athletic - but a guy has to have muscle.

Would that happen to have been Lewis? When I mentioned his glowing reviews on Daddy's he beamed and said how grateful he was to all his reviewers... then complained that some of them had gotten his height wrong, saying he's 5'7" though he's really 5'8". To my eye, he looked 5'7"... He's also one of the hottest men I've ever been with, and has plenty of inches where they matter.
