Does anyone remember the name of a TV Dating Show in the mid to late 1980's -not the Dating Game- where the host would place cardboard stickers on the guy's pants when they matched a correct answer? I guess there must have been times when women answered the questions and received stickers, but I don't really remember those times. The show was probably syndicated and in the Houston area I think it came on Fox or another independent station. It was definitely not "your father's Dating Game" as the questions were a lot more edgy. When I think back, the host reminds me a bit of looking like Jon Stewart. But it wasn't him.

Gman, you SURE about your description? I watched a lot of those dating shows, and I don't recall anything like you described. The closest I can think of is "Studs", where the guys held up placards with matching answers (the placards rested on their laps), but that was early 90's.

That's the show. Thank you very much. I'm sorry I was off a decade. But I'm pretty sure Mark DeCarlo the MC, when the guys won a point, gave them cardboard 'hearts' which they usually affixed to either their chest area or maybe their legs/thighs. I used to get this confused with 'Singled Out'.

I liked Studs, they always had very hot looking guys on the show. I remember after it went off the air, one of the news magazine (maybe Time) did a behind-the-scenes story on the dating shows, and one of the producers of Studs admitted that the dates were all set-ups with aspiring actors (of course), but also, she said half of the guys were gay! She explained it was very hard to find good looking straight guys who were willing to be on these type of dating shows. At least back then.

Yeah the guys were usually really hot on Studs. There was also that dating show where they used to film the dates.

Also year's ago -possibly back in Hooboy's Day-I remember that it was mentioned that a g4p porn actor/escort did Love Connection. The guy was a muscled bodybuilder Italian or Greek guy. I think his porn name was either Billy or Tony something. I was really interested in meeting him. But I think it was before I started hiring. Plus I think he was only a top and maybe didn't have the greatest reputation as an escort.

Ok an update. I just looked Billy up. Apparently I'm mistaken. He claims he is bisexual, and he found it out by being in porn.

He has an active Twitter Account.

And he's very popular in Japan where he is known as Aniki (Big Brother). He even has his own action figure there.

It was the prize on The Newlywed Game, not The Dating Game, but I can't stop picturing that 1970s-style beautiful Broyhill lounge suite!

I wonder how many divorces that show caused.

How much are we dating ourselves here? Dating Game, Newlywed Wed Game, Studs, Love Connection, even Singled Out on MTV were all so long ago now. The younger guys on the Forum-if there are any-will not know what we are talking about.

Nope. That is not Chuck Woolery.

Bozo used to have the biggest crush on Chuck Woolery. That was one hot man :).

Little known fact is that Chuck was the original host of Wheel of Fortune (before Pay Sajak)....

Even farther off-topic, but remember Love, American Style? Didn't it come on late-ish Saturday evenings, because of being thought somewhat risque at the time, even though ostensibly a comedic show?

iLove American Style was also the show from which Happy Day spun off. Happy Days then spun off a bunch of shows including Laverne and Shirley and Joanie Loves Chaichi.

Not to mention Mork and Mindy!
