I totally agree with that. It is rare to receive such requests, but I don't mind it at all. I always include a brief description of myself in the initial email (age, height, weight, ...) I understand that the guys want to have some idea about whom they will be meeting with. It's only fair. I don't even think it's all about appearance - a picture hopefully shows whether somebody takes care of himself or not (think: personal hygiene). It's really going to vary with the porn star. I've been with some who are nice regular guys who deal fairly well with the fact that they are incredibly good at sex and thousands want them for a partner-but that could also be any popular escort whether they work in porn or not. On the other hand I've been, unfortunately, with a few who acted as if they were only a little lower than the angels.

This thread is way old, but the same is true for photographers who shoot male nudes. No matter how much in debt I'm willing to go on a guy, if there's no chemistry, almost every dollar is wasted.
