I'm the guy who asked for advice in "approaching" a cute college guy I'd hired from a nursey to help me with some heavy lifting of fallen tree logs on my property. Well, if you were willing to be a bit daring, you may have used the work being too hard as a segue.

If you were planning on paying $100, for example. You might have said something like: Well what would you do for $100?

If he started talking about doing half the job, then you would suspect that he had no interest at all in dealing with your fantasy. If he gave a suggestive answer, well you could continue the sub rosa conversation. If he looked perplexed, you might have said something like: College men sometimes are willing to do all kinds of odd job, I know I did when I was in college. But at some point you were going to have to say, can I blow for $100 or your variation of that.

So after all is said and done, PK was right - the OP SHOULD have hired an escort for sex and then suggested that he had some yard work that the escort might also do. The OP would have gotten laid, the yard work would probably not have been done, but who knows - maybe the hire might have just been craving the opportunity to help a fellow human being out with some good old fashioned wholesome hard work, the sort of thing that makes you put on your plaid shirt, jeans, and work boots and engenders elevated feelings of self-worth due to having done something productive and virtuous.
