Contestants are asked to summarize the plot of an unlikely sequel to a well-known motion picture.

Examples:

Shawshank Redemption II -- Weary of cosseting grumpy American tourists in his hotel in Zihuatenejo, escaped convict Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) returns to Shawshank Prison to teach tap dancing as a means of rehabilitation. Additional cast: Whoopi Goldberg (Warden Kleinschmidt).

Jaws VII -- Now that every single shark in the vicinity of Amity Island has been killed, residents and visitors think it's safe to go back in the water -- until they find themselves menaced by a large, bad-tempered clam.

The Post-Graduate -- Ben Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) is now a graduate student. While his young wife (Katherine Ross) is visiting her mother in a mental hospital, Ben finds himself being seduced by Golda Meir, Indira Gandhi and Margaret Thatcher.

Entries will be evaluated and a winner announced sometime after midnight (EST) on January 13th.

Ok, I've got one...

The Fourth installment of LOTR:

Frodo returns from The Grey Vales (or wherever it was that he sailed off to) and goes to the Shire to profess his undying love to Sam. Sam drops his family in a minute, and our two heroes sail off to the Grey Vales, which turn out to be Canada! There they get married, and start up a big cat act in an Indian Casino in Sasktchewan. All is well until that big old queen Gandalf shows up again.

La Belle Gandalf informs Frodo that he must transport Ethan's cockring to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum at Fisherman's Wharf.

Frodo and Samwise set out on their quest, but have no adventures. Somewhere outside of Elko, Nevada, they both simply die of boredom.

The End.

Guest gentle guy

Groundhog Day 2: Bill Murray finds himself trapped in Hooville, where every post he makes on the Message Center gets repeated. With Trixie as his love interest and Les as his faithful cameraman. Script by Flower (that's his story and he's sticking to it).

Terminator 4: Ascent to Governor - A cyborg is reprogrammed and sent from the future in order to become governor of California, change politics for the better, and save mankind before California sinks into the ocean. But can he stop the G.W.Bush800, the Skynet-controlled polymorphic agent sent back through time in order to destroy all of mankind through foolish gibberish and distracting wars?

(No offense to any of the mentioned parties or any well-thought-out political commentary intended - just havin' fun.)

Sense and Insensibility:

When Marianne falls into a coma as a result of eating infected beef (the cause is unbeknownst to anyone, since the etiology of infections has not yet been discovered, but it may be the first case of mad cow disease), Willoughby realizes that he really does love her. He leaves his rich heiress wife and comes back to help Col. Brandon nurse Marianne. Elinor and Edward Ferrars, of course, are also in constant attendance, and Edward gradually realizes that he is sexually attracted to the unnaturally beautiful Willoughby. After much agonizing, he comes out to Elinor, who finally understands his diffidence about courting her. Not wanting to lose him, she sensibly arranges for Edward and Willoughby to be left alone one evening to care for the unconscious Marianne. When Willoughby breaks down, Edward comforts him and can't resist the impulse to kiss him. Horrified, Willoughby flees back to his wife, and Elinor persuades the disconsolate Edward that they must move to London, where he can find "boys" who will discreetly satisfy his needs.
