Did I do something stupid?

I saw an escort in Orlando this last February who, while engaging, intelligent, and built

was also non-interactive physically.

The day before our meeting he asked me to lend him $300 towards our overnight

fee the next night. I declined.

I now receive an email that he is in Los Angeles. He lost his iPhone and had to pay $700

for a new account. He hadn't included baggage in his air travel costs. So could I front him

$75 to help him get home?

I did. Western Onion.

Was that stupid? He and I are keeping intermittent communication. This week I asked him

if he'd gotten the watch for his boyfriend. Today he tells me they've broken up.

What do y'all think the possibility of my becoming an ATM to this character is?

Sex was non-existent, but... I hope that can be changed.

Advice is, as usual, appreciated. I'd like to see him again, maybe for a weekend in Atlanta.

We hit it off, other than the lack of interaction.

I don't think you're vulnerable (financially, at least) for sending that gift of $75. Your vulnerability might derive more from the high hopes you have for future encounters with this prone-to-drama, non-interactive gent. Proceed with caution on this one, Gallahad.

Definitely drop him and block his phone number from your iPhone and his e-mail from your computer (mark as spam). This guy sees you as only an ATM.

Take stock of the money you have spent on this guy who you admit was not the best, and he seems to have a propensity to ask for advances and aid -- run while you can.

Would you call him for 75$ if you were stuck? Of course not, you would call a friend or a relative. You might call him and in the hopes of recouping the 75$ you gave away but I doubt he would be as generous or as foolish as your were in his lending practices as you were in yours.

run. run now. run fast. do not look back.

I, unfortunately, was in a situation with someone who was "I need $$$, I want this item, buy me this. If you love me xxx."

It took awhile for me to wake up and bitch slap myself some sense. It took an even longer time to recover from the very diminished bank account.

If the roles were reversed, and you asked the Escort for 300.00 or 75.00 for any non specific random reason, do you think the Escort would be so inclined to give you the money? More then likely he would say No, or some excuse why he cant.

Thanks, gentlemen. I kinda figured that might be the response.

I was contemplating a weekend in Atlanta with him, but

the proverbial leopard doesn't change its proverbial spots.

And I had hoped [Ei! Here's the rub!] that he would become a

good buddy with whom to hang out and enjoy what sensations

I still have (other than my cane hitting my foot).

As long as Noah is in Phoenix / Vegas, I might "Go West, Young Man!"

the man is a god.

Coverboy. 03/09/15. Nice choice. Reminds ME of a young Pat Bateman. Have fun!

He was non interactive.... I'll pass on him, I'd rather someone cute and interactive instead of someone who looks like a model and behaves like the statue of a Greek/Roman god on the bed.

I The day before our meeting he asked me to lend him $300 towards our overnight

fee the next night. I declined..

If he's that good looking, he certainly could learn to save money and avoid asking money in advance.

He handles money (cash) on his business... doesn't he? Why does he need money up front?

I now receive an email that he is in Los Angeles. He lost his iPhone and had to pay $700

I did. Western Onion...

Has he ever heard about CC? What was he doing in LA, sex for money I guess. 75$ to get him home? Give me a break. You ain't his dad.

Besides I don't know how old he is but I guarantee you nobody younger than 30 would leave his iPhone unless he needs to take a shower, they're stuck to their smartphone all fucking day long.

Was that stupid? ..

Yes, it was!

He and I are keeping intermittent communication. This week I asked him

if he'd gotten the watch for his boyfriend. Today he tells me they've broken up...

That might be true.

If you really like him despite the fact he's so non interactive, just pay him after sex like we all do 99% of the time.

He'll ask you for money up front again, there are so many interactive escorts in the South, give someone else a chance and move on. Unless you want to make him feel you'll be his ATM machine again.

I'll play devil's advocate on this one. You've been around here long enough that when he requested the money, you knew that it was possibly a scam, but somewhere deep down you still wanted to help out. I think it is good to take the optimistic point of view every once in a while.

Time will only tell if you were being a good Samaritan or were a victim. Just remember the saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...."

TO summarize

His need is not unreasonable, albeit lacks of planning.

I misunderstood him to say that I would be getting paid back in 24 hours. We'll see when and if I get paid back:

* If it's relatively soon, fine

* If it's not quite for awhile: Fine and bye-bye.

* If it's not at all: In goes the negative review.

THanks again, Gentlemen. More later.

I don't find him very appealing. As to the advance, if you used Western Union, he has your real name, although perhaps that's not a worry for you.
