I have always walked to a different Drummer. Frankly most of society just confuses me. As I've gotten older, I've more and more rejected the so called "Political Correctness" that's been used to prosecuted the simplest of things. No, a small plastic toy solder is not a weapon. Yes, a young lady is allowed to carry aspirin during that certain time of month.

I'm a practical type of person. A trusting soul that believes that most people are "Honorable" and that they really do want to follow the Golden Rule (or for those supporters of a similar tenant: "Karma.")

Most of my life, I've espoused the concepts that Robert Heinlein wrote about in "Stranger in a Strange Land" which strongly resonated with me in my youth and remains so to this day.

However there is another way of life that has been articulated in the Sharon Lee & Steve Miller Liaden Universe and I'm finding that my resonance is moving to that concept of life.

Why have I decided to change? I've found 99% of the people I interact with are honorable but that the 1% remaining are taking up 99% of my time. I've decided that I will no longer allow them to monopolize my life.

Over the holidays, four issues kept me from working on the next version of the my site. That's simply not fair. One matter I will not discuss here.

  • In one case, a negative review where the reviewer returned a complex fabrication when I asked a simple question. You see, in my opinion the truth tends to stay the same, and lies tend to grow. Makes it easy to see what's what over time.

The point is that if you get caught in a lie to Daddy, he will no longer trust anything that you say. The review will be rejected and you will be on the list of people to watch.

  • In the 2nd case, a negative review had a reviewer lie to the escort that he had requested that the review not be published. A vile manipulation that shocks me to the core and caused a very sweet man to suffer unduly. The review will be declined.

A careful examination has revealed that perhaps it has happened multiple times. If it appears so, I will adjust all of his reviews to reflect the inconsistencies.

  • In the final case, a forum user that was "Grinched" late year thought it so egregious that he submitted a complaint to the Washington State Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as was his right. The complaint was closed without comment after I responded to the "Informal Complaint Resolution Process."

While I could have published the entire exchange because it is a matter of public record. I've chose not to do so. That decision has been stretched to the breaking point by the fact that he has continued to barrage the Attorney Generals Office with emails after the fact. He will no longer be a part of this community.

I'm only at the 60 to 70 percent level of recovery from the leg infection that landed me in the hospital for most of the month of July. I don't have the time, energy, or patience to coddle those that don't have the decency to honestly abide by the system.

Solidarity, Daddy!

This reminds me of the Pareto Principle (or 80-20 Rule, which could easily morph into a 99-1). For much of life, about 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes - desired or otherwise. How liberating it is to invest in the handful of friendships, projects, etc. that give you your maximum return and so, so freeing, to just drop the few people and things that create the most chaos.

Thank you for all you do, and for keeping it (positively) karmic! :) We all wish for an inspired and reinvigorated Daddy.

Daddy,

Your words resonate with me. Especially the description of you as a trusting soul. I'm very much that way. Common sense among some has been lost, and along with it, common decency. Be strong good man!

When I ran my own practice, i would say that 98%of the people were nice but when you see 50 people a day, it means that on average, you have a major pain in the ass every single day. I reached a conclusion similar to Daddy, which was, keep handy a letter stating very plainly, thanks for your patronage, please do no return.

Good for you daddy! I'm glad to hear that your recovery is still going strong! I always thought you had the patience of Job. I think we all know who you're referring to in your last case. I don't post that often but have been reading for years. But for him to actually make a complaint with a state agency proves what I thought after reading his many, many, many rambling posts...and to continue this...yeah...he's a nut job. I for one appreciate everything you do!

Daddy,

Thank you for doing what you do! I find this forum that you provide to be a source of valuable exchange and it warms my heart that you take the time to provide it to us.

You create a virtual "pub" in which we can gather and exchange ideas. There will always be the "wackos" who detract and disrupt the positive exchange.

Please, please, please keep up the good work you do. I sincerely appreciate it as I am sure all the members of this forum do.

This last one stands out to me! Who would have the nefarious intention and lots & lots of time do this skulduggery on Daddy & the M-F?
