Counting Ross and Munroe as one, although they are definitely two sexy men and I would love to see them back posting, but I digress, my count is 7. I have been with 5 before they won and 2 after. Perhaps I should add the other 5 to my bucket list. Others I may need to travel to see, but hey it would be a helluva ride.

I think I get the reason for your curiosity and the reason for this misunderstanding. I would be more than happy to clarify.

 

When Hooboy, the creator of this website decided to acknowledge the hard work and accomplishments of a group of escorts that had that year received an unprecedented number of confirmed reviews, he told me, in an email that he was excited because perhaps the sudden spike in reviews reflected the fact that the idea of escort reviews was taking off, but was also convinced that this small group of escorts had received those reviews because of their sustained reputation, hard work and reliability.

 

He, by review count and review quality decided alone who had demonstrated consistency and quality.

 

Hot escort of the year was created as an acknowledgment, not as a pageant or a campaign-driven popularity contest. Nobody canvassed anybody so that they voted for them, the hard work had already been done, when it mattered, during every session with every client. This highlighted the fact, I think, that what was being acknowledged was our work as escorts, not our ability to self-promote or make friends, we being escorts, not politicians.

 

There is no "True EOY 2007". It was not Miss Universe.

 

When Hooboy passed away Daddy decided to instate the Escort Of The Year award with different rules and slightly different methods. That is why you can't make sense of a group of six people "winning". Can't speak for the men with whom I shared that acknowledgment, but winning didn't make any difference to me because I had already won by being able to do a job that I love and that has given me so much life experience.

 

I am a better man for the work I have done as an escort for so many years. I am not a better escort for any title I may have been given. It was really sweet of Hooboy to do that and I remember it with a lot of affection, but it's just a sweet moment in a profession that I love. Sure, I will mention it in my ad as I will mention my reviews, but the proof is in the pudding. Every session.

Thank you so much for clarifying of what the "true" history of why there are several EOY's within that year. I really had no clue that Hoo-boy based it on a certain policy then what it is today. Totally different set up in the past years then it is now.

 

I'm quite proud of all of you guys who won as you all are great role models for us upcoming escorts who are trying to climb to the road of success. Have nothing but high respect for you, and all the other EOY's(past and present) who are successful, and well deserved of such a high honor.

Has anyone seen or heard from Brandan Steele? He's been MIA for awhile now. I saw him last with you(Countryboy) at the DC forum event in January of this year. Hope he's doing well as I truly enjoyed meeting both of you there. :).

 

It has been awhile since I last saw Mr. Steele, but I can assure you he's not MIA. He's not a frequent visitor to this board and more rarely posts. I do know that he's still in Ft. Lauderdale and is seeing clients. He has an ad on Rentmen.

Couldn't care less about EOY. Not a factor for me.

 

I never hired anyone specifically because they were EOY-I hired guys with good reputations whose Interests fit mine. It just so happens that 5 of those guys were either before or after I saw them EOY.

Yes, Juan definitely has misremembered the circumstances of the 2007 EOY contest, because Hooboy died in March 2005.

I hired Rick once for an overnight. First he was late to the meeting. We were going to eat and then to a show. So we had to throw down our food. After the show when we got back to my hotel, he said I hadn't told him that I wanted to top him (I had- it was in my emails to him when I was arranging things) and he wasn't prepared. And mind you this was for an overnight. I think it would have been possible for him to prepare even if my request had been unexpected which it shouldn't have been as I told him when we were arranging to meet.

I have hired Rick and Derek on several occasions, always fun, always on time well once they were late caught if traffic but they called several times to update me, and always ready to be fucked.
