Escorts on Rentmen Contacting You for Engagements

I've been a premier member of http://rentmen.com for over a year, and during that time I've checked out various profiles of the escorts whose ads are there. Recently, I've been receiving emails from some of these guys relaying how I could receive service from them. I've cordially responded back to two or three; the others I've ignored due to various and sundry reasons. Have any of you been a recipient of some of these invitations, and how have you responded, if you've gotten back to the escorts at all?

And I must add that he supposedly has a very good paying job in Silicon Valley. I responded with congrats and that I'd be contacting him when I'm up to being anally ravished! Axiom2001, one of the reasons I prefer RENTMEN over RENTBOY is that the escorts can (if you are signed in as a premier member) see you looking at their ad (and you can see which of them has checked you out).

 

On the plus side, I would never have met Michael Bender without this little tool, as Michael is very polite and generally will at least poke you (send a brief message) to see if you are interested as his experience is that some clients are gun-shy at first. I like this.

 

RENTMEN also has a button a premier member can push to BLOCK a guy who becomes bothersome, which has happened on an occasion or two.

 

Mike (the site guardian in the US) is terrific whenever I have a problem, and I was very happy to see his newest "service" where satisfied clients can send a gift to an escort (which is something he allowed me to do in the past, giving a gift of 3-months prepaid ad for the escort, as he really put a smile on my face). Now Mike and the site offer various ways of doing this, and my experience is that they are discreet in this.

 

Bottom line - I am not at all against an escort dropping a line when he sees I have looked (heck 90% of them, I look and MOVE ON to someone else). Thanks to this ability to interact with the escort, I have met a handful who are amazing.

A handful of guys have contacted me after I read their ads. One guy is someone I have hired in the past and had set up a playdate with while he was in town. My Rentmen handle is different than others so he didn't recognize me. He and I laughed about it. One guy was appealing, but he wouldn't leave me alone. After I messaged him saying "I will let you know when I am ready to play" several times I told him I was no longer interested and blocked him. Others I was not interested in and I politely told them so and others I might hire in the future and told them so, too. All of them sent an additional "thank you for getting back to me" email and that was that.

I've been a premium Rentmen client for about the same timeframe, and have received perhaps 15 contacts from escorts whose ads I browsed. Surprisingly, 10 contacts were within the last 60 days. There doesn't appear to be a sudden increase of new escorts advertising in my area, so I wonder whether the wave of contacts might be tied to a website marketing effort on behalf of escorts. Most of the emails were of the one-line "hey man, whats up?" variety. Fortunately, the Rentmen site has flexible privacy settings, including the ability to selectively block users.

I wish Rentmen could attract the same quantity of ads as Rentboy. I like Rentmen much better, aside from the fact that they have fewer ads.

I like it also ... has a more personal feel than RB.

 

One disadvantage is that it has WAY fewer ads in a number of the cities I visit ... and, as I've discovered, there are seriously misleading ads on RM also.

 

I won't mention names, but I was just about to make an appt with a guy from RM ... and then I did some deeper "due diligence" and discovered a series of really bad reviews on Daddys. That was a close one! (Not that I feared serious trouble, just that I don't have $$ OR time to waste on fakes.

 

So, I like the functionality of the rentmen site also but, as always, caveat emptor.

I am always a bit surprised about the dearth of ads on Rentmen over Rentboy.

 

When Rentmen first started, I was in the NYC area and admittedly they have more ads for that city and the site operators have worked long and hard to promote the site. They started with terrific in-person interviews which are still there, where you really got a good sense of the escort. Then they allowed escorts to upload new photos and updates, add videos and do other things in their ads that are both appealing and they give you a lot more info than you get from Rentboy.

 

Yes, they have fewer ads, and yes, as on Rentboy, you do have cross-check some guys. But I have had excellent access to Mike (the guy in the US who runs the site - others are in UK and elsewhere) and in one case I could prove the photos were fake, and he had the ad removed immediately. On another occasion the forum here had serious questions of an escort (and some negative comments on the guy being a scam artist) and Mike again stepped in and personally contacted the guy and gave him a chance to respond and in the end agreed with the negative comments here. I find this much more of a positive experience than in dealing with Rentboy.

 

On some occasions I have talked escorts who advertise on Rentboy to consider ads on Rentmen, and they have. Now you have the chance to also interactively "gift" an escort time on his ad, which is a nice way of saying "thanks for the memories". All in all, despite its smaller list of escorts and cities that have no mention at all, I still think in terms of interaction between client and escort, this is the best option out there.

I really like rentmen.com - and I totally appreciate it when a guy there shows enough interest and initiative to contact me!

 

I would say that even though there are fewer postings on the site than rentboy I have probably actually brought more contact to fruition on rentmen - and likely will continue to do so.

 

When I had a problem with someone there -- a guy in SF who was clearly "troubled" and went nuts-o on me -- the rentmen administrators quickly advised me on how to handle the situation. I get a feeling that the staff there cares more about their clientele than the other sites. I, too, really miss those interviews that were posted in the early days... but really enjoy the site!

Not always the case for rentboy and most certainly not for adam4adam escort ads! If you have twitter, make sure you 'follow' rentmen there also. Fun updates with pictures and new video clips from the site managers, and sometimes personal messages from the escorts. I like it when a guy says (on Twitter), hey I am in NY and available during the next 4 hours. It encourages me to take a look ... for that impromptu hook-up.

Axiom - Yes, I have had some Rentmen hit me up after I've visted their page. If I'm really not interested and was just browsing, I'll ignore the message. If I think that I might contact them in the future, I'll reply that I'm just looking and not interested in something immediate. (The "out of town" excuse works well too.) Sometimes, I'll go on Rentmen and not log in so my browsing can't be tracked.

The guys used to contact me pretty often, but I do not like it. I changed my privacy settings and now I am not traceable. Problem fixed.

There was one Rentmen provider who sent me emails multiple-times-a-day looking for an appointment after I merely viewed his ad/profile ONE time. Really bothersome.

 

I'm a paid/premium member and after that I went to Privacy Settings and changed Allow members to see if I have checked them out: to No - Don't Track Me.

No further issues.
