Discovering kink and fetishes

I've just written a short essay about my progressive discovery of kink and fetishes. I started with base-line vanilla and evolving from there, with some help from the Daddy's Reviews Forum community no less:

Thanks for the link Nate. All very interesting. My story is similar in some respects to yours. I also used to look at guys coming in and out of leather bars and was not even remotely interested. A few years ago however, I hooked up with an escort that was willing to share and explain in great length the thoughts and the mental state of BDSM. Although painful, I found it incredibly erotic, and with encouragement from Whipped Guy, I decided to take this all a little further and rented a video, OK several videos from Kink.com. It was an amazing few days. Extremely informative...I have now enlisted the help of a local boy to teach me the ropes as it were..(pun intended)

Well, BVB I am happy that I had a part... albeit a small part... in your introduction to S&M... Aiding and abetting in corruption is one of my hobbies... LOL!

 

In any event, finding and hooking up with an individual... be it an escort or simply a very knowledgeable person who indeed "knows the ropes" is the key to success with the result being the ultimate in fulfillment and gratification.

 

Damn, there is nothing like an S&M session to get one's juices flowing... It is indubitably in my estimation the most intense manner in which to get it on!

Thanks guys (and gal). It's been talking to people over time about how they came about their various turnons. Some have had innate feelings associated with BDSM since childhood, as Whipped Guy mentions, while others are either new to it or maybe discovering something latent. It does seem a lot of turnons are often related to something from childhood (including abusive situations) that then grow into a fetish or kink or turnon. When I think of what turns me on, I wonder what might be the origin of it, if anything. Maybe easy to think too much about it as opposed to just enjoying, but I find it interesting.

 

The blog is something I've worked on off and on for a while but did not do much to promote it. Still haven't figured out how I want to use it but every now and then I'll get the urge to write something so it is there for that purpose. It's less a diary or record of events as is intended to be various short essays reflecting on things. Definitely interested in suggestions for topics if you have them!
