I have always been a great fan of Wet Lube. It was all I ever used until a few days ago. I friend convinced me to try Eros Bodyglide. It was amazing and just a small dab did wonders. I found it thoroughly enjoyable.

Just of of curiosity, does anyone have a preference? Any reasons why one should consider a different kind of lube? What is your favorite and why?

Am I that friend?

Eros is my favorite. The only downside is that it does leave a slight slippery residue because of the silicone... but that is fairly innocuous.

Overall... my favorite. (Don't expect bargain prices for it, though)

Wet Platinum

Rick Munroe is a big fan of Eros, as is Marc Anthony and likely others on here on the site, but I believe Wet Platinum will be just as nice without the expense. I also think the high end ID lube is also acceptable.

This was discussed in a thread last year which you and others might find informative: http://babydb.male4malescorts.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=5&topic_id=2619&mesg_id=2619&listing_type=search

RE: Men's Cream

One of my regular clients turned me on to Men's Cream. I get it at Walgreen's. It's only for masturbation, not fucking, as it is problematical with rubbers. I never thought that I would start using that kind of a cream as well as a massage oil and a rear end lube. I didn't want to make room for something like that on my side table. But it is great!!, as Tony the Tiger would have said.

RE: Men's Cream

Since the LAST time we have had this dicussion(which I started!) :)

I have discovered Fore Play Lube Deluxe(silver top)Not quite as long lasting as Eros(which I adore)but less than half the price-and I find it easier to clean up.

I was plaing with a guy in La Belle Montreal and he was amazed that I wanted to use lube to jack off with-wanted to use only spit!As he is "au naturale"It worked for him-not for me!

I do find a boy spitting on his dick a HUGE turn on!

RE: Wet Platinum

Franco, thank you for finding that for me. I am a newbie when it comes to doing searches and had no idea that was possible. You have taught me a lesson tonight for which I say thank you.

Marc,

Actually, you did turn me on to Eros. That night in Montreal when I had a few boys over and need condoms and lube, you were down the hall and let us borrow some. I have been experimenting ever since. I love their bodyglide. :)

RE: Wet Platinum

I have used Eros and I can agree with what has been said about it. The only other lube that I find that works just as well as Eros is AstroGlide. It is a little less expensive than Eros and a little of it goes a long way.

At some point or other, in an earlier thread, I think Marc Anthony mentioned Falcon Lube as a decent lube. I've been using it and very happy with it.

RE: Wet Platinum

I have used a few different Lubes but some of them make me.. Well go soft.. Is there a reason? I have tried a few for jacking off and it is almost impossible it is like I can't feel anything after I use them! Like they have an anestesia in them.

A topic near & dear to my heart...

Lube, lube everywhere and not a drop to drink. My current all-star lube would be Eros (original formula, not light or kink). It's condom-compatable, lasts for hours and the bottle is easy to squeeze when you're in strange positions :)

Lately for anal play i've been using Elbow Grease (oil-based cream) with, of course, Polyurethane condoms: The only ones out there compatible with oil-based lubes. Elbow Grease has proved to be a lasting and a very comfortable lube when in bottom-mode for me.

Maybe it's just personal, but when trying to switch back to a syrupy lube like Wet or ID for anal, it just feels wrong. *shrugs* I suppose the cream just rubs me the right way.

The only lube i really dislike would be Frixion. It's supposed to be some herbal blend of 'arousal' substances, but it just started to burn when i topped. I figured it may have been a fluke, so i flip-flopped and it burned like hell when bottoming. Not cool.

BTW~ the best polyurethane condoms on the market today are Trojan's brand. They may cost more, but they're stronger, transmit bodyheat and more versatile than latex. It's well worth shelling out for. 9 out of 10 tops agree and every bottom will scream for them by name ;)

< every bottom will scream for them by name >

Would that be, as in:

"Oh YEAH!! Fuck me harder and deeper with that Trojan brand condom!!" ?

Or, as in:

"Oh GOD, FUCK ME Trojan!" ?

Either/Or really... It's pretty interchangeable nowadays }(

I much prefer the sounds of clamping a hand over someone's mouth and telling them to 'take it like a man,' but hey, that's just me.

*snicker*

The Elbow Grease in bottom mode for you...does that mean you stick your dick right in the jar and fuck it? Sounds like a scene from American Pie, the gay version. :p

Lube me up

Eros used to be my favorite, but I found that if used for prolonged periods, it caused clogged pores on my dick... gross I know, but who wants zits on the willy?

Wet Platinum is close to the same feel, but it stains. I learned my lesson when I had it in my luggage and it exploded, destroying everything.

I actually prefer spit, and natural lubricants, but it can be tough sticking 'dickzilla' into a tight butt without a little extra help: )

I use whatever is around, Ky, Wet, ID, anything as long as it's condom safe(no oil based products)

matt(slippery when wet)

Despite a slightly suggestive color, I like JIF peanut butter. Creamy should be used. The chunky version could be a tad abrasive.

But seriously.... There is a product call "J-lube" -- "A hand lubricant concentrate for the Veterinarian." It comes in a powder form and mixes with water. The bottle is the size of a shampoo bottle, and is $18. Since is concentrated the bottle will make gallons of lube when mixed with water. Not surprizingly, men that are into fisting like this product ( I don't about the fisting thing or how well it works there). Can be found in leather stores and Vet supply shops.

It is VERY slippery stuff and wet, and works well for for the vanilla sex scene. But, does tend to dry out a bit, and needs some sprinkle of water once in while.

I can tell you that Our Boy Ben and I spent a few days recently in HOuston and talked me into trying Eros. I was a wet junkie before that. Of course I use primarily for JO. As you say it is not cheap got a bottle for 41.00 8.5fl oz wow. I hope I get my ...... worth. HUGS Chuck and thank Ben. :p :P :p

I've got a hard-spot for Elbow Grease too Prime~

It's a great lube that 'stays put' when you need it most. There's nothing worse than a thin, syrupy lube than just goes everywhere when you're trying to hit a specific spot.

I've never tried the 'Hot' formula for fear it would burn in certain situations. Let me know what you think of it and how it feels~ maybe i need to do a little side-experimenting myself and McGuyver my way into things :)

Warmest (and slickest) Thoughts,

I've tried a lot of the ones mentioned. Clean up is a biggie for me, so I don't like Wet Platinum or Eros. I always feel sorta nasty when I get out of the shower. It doesn't seem to come off. And I really don't like my pillow cases comming out the dryer with dark stains on them. Call me old fashioned, but give me WET anyday - no one seems to complain. Cleans up with soap and water, and condom friendly.

With the caveat that I'm a real lube novice, I'll pass this on: a guy recently brought some ID Millenium (with silicon) and left it at my place. It somehow tipped over in a drawer and leaked out all over. UGH! I've washed everything with both liquid dish soap and Dove soap, and my hands are still slippery on my mouse (no jokes ;-) ).

Give me a water-based lube any day!! Or, am I doing something wrong?x(

I like Men's Cream as well. It's occurred to me that it might be OK to use it with polyurethane condoms such as Avanti I've known some really thick guys say they're too small since they don't stretch as much as latex, but they transfer sensation better than latex. Plus, I read somewhere (maybe here?) that latex insulates while Avanti's don't. As a result, Avanti's pass body heat between partners which leads to a <ahem> hotter time for all.

I bet the two products would be fine together and would lead to some really hot sessions.
