Why was College Guy Scort's thread deleted?

Ryan (called CollegeGuyScort here), from Tucson, AZ, posted a thread in the Escort Travels forum listing his desire and availability to travel pretty much anywhere in the US this some.

Several people criticized his post, mostly because he evidently wasn't willing to post a picture. However, he has been reviewed here very favorably by one reviewer.

Another escort added a post to his thread criticising his post. I felt that was unfair and said so. VAHawk added a semi-satirical post stating mainly that Ryan hadn't posted any info about himself or any way of getting in touch with him.

I responded by saying that all anyone had to do was click on his name to see his full profile, his location, a way to email him, a way to IM him, etc.

Now his entire thread is missing and presumably deleted.

It isn't fair to this young man to have his thread deleted because others of us added posts to it. He's a young student trying to make some money in the summer and should have the same ability to post in the Escort Travels section as anyone else.

So why was his thread delete?

To me, the value of the Escort Travel section is being able to hire an

an out of state escort without having to fly him in.

I do not believe that College Guy Scott was willing to pay for his own airfare. His posting was ueless and a waste of space to me (and I

assume others) as well as being a violation of the rules. As to the concept of a poor college boy trying to make money during the summer,

is not College Guy Scott just one of millions of students in the same situation. Why are we supposed to feel more sorry for him than all the other guys? I always had at least one summer job when I was attending college.

Don't really have an opinion re: whether Ryan's posting in Escort Travels was legit or not, but having just seen Ryan I can imput my impressions of him ( complete review to follow) This kid may be the "sleeper" of the year! Though only reviewed one time on M4M, he's very experienced and it shows in his attentiveness to his client's sexual requests. He's very masculine in appearance and demeanour, but he clearly enjoys his work! Intense blue eyes, and firm, smooth body. And (at the present time) his rates are more that reasonable.....

:-) :-) :-)

As to why he posted in the Travels section, it may be because, as he told me, the market in Tucson is a little "thin", and wanted to widen his market a bit. Let me add that he would make a great travel companion, as he is very intelligent, has informed opinions, and has had a very interesting life.

As others have indicated, his post violated the rules.

On a basic level, all he did was post a vague ad saying "pay for my airfare and services and I'll go anywhere." Imagine if every escort did that in the travel section. One would have to scroll through hundreds of "ads" just to see whether an escort who does actually travel on his own is coming to one's area. The latter is what that section is for. If a client wants to casually look at reviews from all over the world and then approach someone with an offer to fly him in, that's easy enough to do.

"Collegeguyscort" was just using the travel section to post a free advertisement, as if having a review here isn't already good free advertising for escorts. Though it has nothing to do with the lack of appropriateness of his initial post, I did find it curious that he didn't provide a link to a picture.

"Collegeguyscort" was just using the travel section to post a free advertisement, as if having a review here isn't already good free advertising for escorts"......

and as such, I suppose that means he SHOULD NOT have posted there and the removal of his post is JUSTIFIED......BULLSHIT.

If any of you visit the travel section, you will find it FULL OF ESCORTS who post there and almost all have several postings to them...all more or less ADVERTISING. Example is HotstudRyan, who sees to it that once he posts a "travel plan", he posts to it everyday, just to give himself exposure and keep his thread on the top.

No matter how you slice it, the removal of Collegeguyscort's posting is absolutely ridiculous and so are the justifications for it. If indeed the rules were broken, then remove all the others there who are breaking them.

The removal of his post was JUSTIFIED as it was not a travel announcement. A travel announcement as the forum rules explicitly state should contain the city, date, etc. of the escort's travel plans. Anything other than that is also explicity stated as being subject to deletion without explanation, so what is anyone's problem with this post being deleted and the moderator's refusal to provide an explanation?

If this escort wanted to post in that particular forum then he is subject to the rules of the forum like every other escort. His post was mostly a general solicitation for business and very poorly done to boot.

The forum's purpose is to announce to clients in other cities that the escort will be in that city on this date, staying at this location, for incalls/outcalls, etc. and is not an open forum for solicitation purposes of the type of "my favorite gadget is prepaid flight tickets to ANYWHERE! " for the purpose of expanding my client base. I, and I'm sure I'm not the only client, go to that forum to see what escorts are visiting my city, so I don't have to pay their air flight here to see me if they are going to be here anyway. If I see an escort I really want to see, who has no expectations of being in my city, then I will contact him and get the proverbial ball rolling in regards to flying him here and getting it set up in all aspects.

And all those escorts follow the rules and state the city and dates that they will be in that city. Most subsequent comments are by previous clients and are just a recommendation of the escort to other clients to check that escort out when he is visting that client's home city. As far as the escort himself, it is perfectly within the rules of the forum to post as much additional info as he wants about his hotel/interests/places to see, etc. whether he wishes to post those once a week, once a day or once an hour.

Nope, no way, no how, as I and others stated in replies to the post, it was inappropriate to the forum, in violation of the rules of the forum and most especially totally useless to any client going to the forum to find out what escorts are traveling to his city. He broke the rules, and justifiably had his post removed, as have others in the past and as others will in the future. The only thing ridiculous in this whole affair are those, like yourself, who rant and rail at the moderators for enforcing the rules of the forums they are assigned to moderate. Although the moderators may not be batting 1.000, imo, they are batting at least .750, and in this case they hit the ball right out of the park!

The rules in that forum are easy to understand and are explained quite clearly in a post by Daddy which is pinned so that it is the first message displayed AT ALL TIMES.

It's the one with the subject that says "README"

>If indeed the rules were broken, then remove all the

I'll make a pass now. I will mercilessly delete posts that do not comply.

Deleted a half-dozen posts that did not comply.

Each was well-meaning and actually lived within the *spirit* of the rules even though they bent the rules a bit.

But per your request, Kenny, they've been deleted.

I'll let the guys who were deleted thank you personally.

Since you didn't think it was alert-worthy (although CLEARLY against the rules), why did you think it was worth navigating to an ongoing trash-fest to add to the pileup?

Methinks she just likes a good catfight at the expense of a hapless working boy you've described as not having a clue.

I, on the other hand, emailed the escort explaining why his posts were being deleted (a courtesy we don't normally extend in that forum) and summarily deleted his thread.

Now, which of us acted to add to the problem and which of us acted to create a solution?

If you don't mind my saying so, Miss Emily, your toucan/Tucson confusion was quite brilliant--fully worthy of your distinguished namesake. But how did you get Rick Munroe to supply your punchline? Talk about timing!

Seems like you like to add to the pileup a little yourself. My post had no motive other than to let those who were bitching about the deletion know that the thread was back.

I guess the poor working boy isn't the only one who is clueless. CLEARLY you are magnificient to go above and beyond your call of duty. CLEARLY you know by now not to rely on others to alert you to do your duty as moderator? And CLEARLY you do indeed like to piss in the wind.
