When you read the reviews do you read every one? Or do you select specific ones to read?

For me, I quickly scan to see if there is a review of an escort I have hired before. Then I read any review with an escort response. (The response often tells me as much about an escort as the review itself.) Then I'll click on each reviews for a little eye candy.

This year, I adopted a rule that I do not read a review of guys outside the US and Canada. In get frustrated reading a great review of a guy only realizing that I'm not going to Cairo any time soon.

I read the reviews daily, but only the ones that are in my area. NYC has the best escorts.... period, so it is frustrating to read those, since most likely I will not be traveling to see them. I plan a once a year pilgrimage to NYC, but that is probably all for now. I will go as far south as Miami, and as far north Palm Beach, but Orlando and Tampa are off the radar.(:()

I read the following:

Reviews of escorts I've been with

Reviews of escorts on my wish list or radar

Reviews of guys who simply catch my eye (And yes, I sometimes torture myself and will read a review from overseas. Sigh).

I probably read about a quarter of the reviews.

1. I check out the photograph of the escort to see if he interests me.

2. I check out the general description of the escort to see if our interests dovetail.

I immediately eliminate any escort who smokes.

I immediately eliminate any escort who claims to PNP.

I immediately eliminate any escort who describes himself as straight.

I immediately eliminate escorts who, in my eyes, have too many tattoos.

3. I check out the location of the escort.

4. I carefully check out the description of the reviewer to see if we are similar.

5. I read ALL reviews of escorts I know just to see if the reviewer and I agree.

That's my M.O. Though it comes out to more than half the reviews. I only dismiss those whose photos really don't appeal to me.

I read them all, or at least skim them all. If it's someone that doesn't interest me that much, either by looks or location, I'll skim it faster, and if it's one of the "gothic romance" novel reviews, I'll skim even faster just to see if there's anything interesting. I have to say the best long review I read was of John in Atlanta, from October 2010, the "Warrior King John" session.

The answer is it all depends. Mostly on how much time I have to waste/fritter away in vain pursuits. Earlier on in my career my OCD came to the fore and I found I simply had to read them all. Well, I'm over that at this point. If time is of the essence, like several of our superficial friends here I too scan to see if the eye appeal is there. If so, then I'll scan through (especially to see if there is a "not recommended" near the end - if so then I'll read through to see what went wrong or didn't happen. If I see that the escort claims "straightdom" then I'll probably not devote much time to it. If the review is of a guy I know, then I'll probably also read to see if standards are being upheld or if there has been slippage - quality control is important, and service providers should be held to a standard. No resting on laurels allowed. Sometimes if time doesn't matter, I too appreciate the gothic romance novel review - really tells about the experience, and I think that is important. (Must go back and read John in Atlanta's review mentioned above).

Unless the picture is totally unappealing, I read all the reviews. But I do tend to skim if the guy is a top only, since that's someone I would never hire.

But then, I'm reading more for entertainment than research these days, since I no longer travel and don't live in any of the 'major' cities.
