If an unreviewed escort whom you do not know asked you to be naked in the hotel room when he arrived - that it is "sexy" for him to greet a client that way - would there be need for suspicion? That's a first for me and it seemed a little odd. I'm getting paranoid after reading all these threads. The meeting never occurred but I was wondering if there was some motive on this.

The escort should be trying to make you comfortable not uncomfortable. So i would pass on being naked unless I wanted to be. And yes, it puts you in a vulnerable position and for me, it raises the concern for a grab the money and run situation. Once I knew the escort, i may feel differently, but in this case, this is a big red flag for this bull, so trying to be safe, i am not going for it.

NEVER, NEVER NEVER accede to that request. The only way that could happen would be with someone whom you have been with before and knew well. You would be most vulnerable, it could be a scam, and as purplekow said, it suggests that he will want money and then may leave.

Your instincts are correct to be leery of such a request and you aren't being paranoid in the least. I've never had a first time hire escort make such a request to me and it would be a huge red flag and deal breaker for the reasons stated by Diverdan and purplekow. It may be that this guy is just inexperienced and has no nefarious intent, but why take a chance?

My thoughts are

 

1- he wants to make sure you aren't a cop

2- he wants to grab the money or something else of value and run out the door - and if your naked it would be hard for you to follow him ??

 

I would offer him this compromise. If you show up to my room naked then I will greet you at the door naked as well. In all seriousness, I would simply say no thanks as well, or just ignore that request.

Thank you all for your good comments. It gives me some confidence in my instincts about these things. Of course if I wish to remain totally safe and sound, I would give up this little hobby.... but you all know how hard that is to do!

When a question like this comes up, just ask yourself: "What could go wrong?"

 

If the answer is "A lot," or hysterical laughter, you should seek a second opinion.

Agree completely with all the warnings offered here. The only thing I can think of worse than the guy being a scam artist would be for an honest escort to be loony enough to think this a reasonable request.

 

Besides the your-money-for-your-clothes scam, one can imagine the escort asking, What would you pay me for this disposable camera on which I've just snapped you in the buff?

Even if this were just a regular hookup situation, as opposed to with an escort, I would never do this with someone I had never met. If it were someone I knew and had been with before, and we wanted to do this as some sort of erotic game (a variation on our usual routine, etc), that would be different. But I'd never consider this with a stranger.

 

(I've even seen guys on Manhunt or other sites that post scenarios like "the door is open, you walk in and I'm in bed, naked" etc - and I'm thinking, no...not if I've never met you before...)

While I agree with everything said, I received an earnest reply in a private message from a well reviewed escort who says that he has at some point asked that a new client greet him in the nude. He also admitted that he does find the prospect of walking into a room with a nude client to be arousing. His market apparently sees a lot of undercover cops posing as clients and escorts, and apparently he feels that a cop will quickly refuse to greet him without clothes on...

and, also, 3 -he may be a cop himself and will use the fact that you're naked to bust you....certainly sounds like this was either a scam or potential arrest in the making....again, a warning to all: if something just doesn't seem right, move on.....always a chance it was going to be OK, but not worth the risk....use your gut-feeling and be careful....I don't want to see any good person here get in trouble

This is not a hard and fast truth. I have known people who were busted and the cop had no problem with showing skin.

Undercover cops have a lot of leeway in what they can and will do for an entrapment situation, as well as what leeway a judge or prosecutor who wants to make headlines and win re-election will make excuses for in the name of "cleaning up a city"...My original advise still stands....
