I don't get hard from running/jogging anymore, but when I was a kid on the basketball team, we used to have this running drill called "Blood 'N' Guts." You'd run to the first foul line and back. Then the center court and back. Then the second foul line and back. And then full court and back. Fast as you could. Then you'd rest while a second crew did it, and then do the whole thing over again.

I was never a runner, but often got hard playing football and it was hard (no pun intended) containing it in a jock.
