I like many others spent at least and up to a year on here of being moderated, before our posts were posted an even counted, at the time I didnt see the need for it. I understand you concern Chuck. Every now and then someone goes over the edge around here. They are looking for attention at the least. They are a fact of life in the internet boards, particularly the anonymous boards like this one. Since they are an unpleasant parf of the landscape, it is best just to ignore them until they get tired and sit down, or the meds kick in. I'm sure the monitors are on this. For the rest of us, just send a message alert when you see something amiss and then just ignore it. Failure to have his efforts recognized will hasten his departure. Make sense?

I don't envy Hooboy and the moderators one bit when it comes to keeping some semblance of order and sanity afloat here. They do seem to have this situation under control. In the heat of arguments and discussions, some folks, myself included, can go a bit over the top or farther. It never hurts to do a reality check from time to time, to figure out if our time spent here is productive or otherwise.

I remember, as a young college student, right after Stonewall, a lot of people told me that I didn't have to take the time away from my theater activities to become a political activist. That my very existence as an out gay man was a political statement. And it turned out to be very true. And it's true here, today. We don't have to do anything but be here and be happy about our participation here to be productive, to help bring into existence societal changes which will go the way we want them to go.
