Often, you see picture of a radio personality you’ve heard for years--he never looks like what you imagined. Well I recently had the reverse experience. For months, I’ve read all the reviews, seen all the pictures and exchanged emails with Rick Munroe. For me, after the photographs, I’m most interested in the escort’s voice. From the phone, I get an idea of the intelligence and persona of the escort. I know some reviewers write about the body odor or the clothes or the hair-style of an escort, but for me the voice can be a major turn on.

Well, Rick’s voice is not at all what I imagined. The speech is exactly what I thought: rapid, slight NY accent, clever, doesn’t miss a beat, quick retort and so on. But the voice is not what I had imagined. He has a deep, slightly hoarse voice (maybe he’s been exercising his well-advertised “oral gifts” too much.) A hint of steroid abuse??? Oh heaven forbid!

If there is a bottom and a top for voice, he’s a total top.

I’d like to learn what others think about voice as an attractant in the escort/client relationship.

I agree with you about the voice. The one escort I like better than any other is a top with a very deep and melodious voice. His voice just sounds like he has a good sense of humor and is not concerned with having to prove his masculinity. He knows who he is and is happy with himself (or seems that way from the times I have seen him). His voice was the final determining factor in my hiring him and I found that all the things I had initially heard in his voice were true when I got to know him.

My Cub, Maverick, (in other words, my lover and fifth husband), and I had worked together over the phone but had never met each other. But he liked my voice enough that ten years later, after burying three other lovers, he called me, we got together and the rest is happy history. So I would have to agree that the voice can be a major aphrodesiac.

For me as well... The voice on some guys just cause a tightening in my gut and causes what seems like an electrical inpulse the shoot down to my crotch causing a slightly irritating yet pleasurable sensation. I'm getting the same right now as I see the face of one guy in my mind's eye and hear his voice in my mind's ear... now I see his dick.... :9 Hmmm... he is sexy, wish he could cook.:+

"A hint of steroid abuse"

To throw crap like this around from hearing someone's voice is reprehensible. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I'm sorry--I think you're right. I'll try to be more careful in the future.

Well I agree on voice and have occaissionally turned down voices that I found to be a real turn off--maybe they would have grown on me if given a chance, but a few hours aint enough time for some.

One thing that REALLY TURNS ME OFF however and I for one find very OFFENSIVE, is a "snide-little-meant-to-be-funny-but-isn't" "disparinging in some circles" comment like your "steroid abuse" ditty above. I think that's outta line and in itself abusive and think it marred an otherwise interesting thread.x(

If you're referring to my remark I made, I don't see the similarity. He specifically was referring to Rick Munroe, I was specifically referring to my EX and please note YET ANOTHER WINKY ICON.

The only thing that I'll say is that it was somewhat childish on my part to have hoped he would see the post. He's an escort who's on this site. I was wanting to fuck with him. He'd sent me a nasty e-mail a couple of weeks ago. It hurt me alot. I'd loaned him money, helped him get an apartment here in Columbus and helped him get back into escorting by working together again. I certainly do wish I had not said anything at all now. He's in law school and the title of the thread totally caught my eye. Funny thing is, I'm not sure he even frequents the message board, so he probably never saw it.

Oh God, does this make me a part of the anti-depressant set I keep hearing so much about?;-)

I'm sorry if you were offended, Flower.

That was certainly not my intention. :)

P.S. If this wasn't about me, "Never mind" as only Rosanna Rosanna Danna could say it.

"Never Mind" was a quote from Emily Litella, when Gilda did editorial responses. Rosanna Rosanna Danna was a different character. Her tag line was "Its always something".

Those were the days of Dan Akroyd and Jane Curtain doing Point/Counterpoint, where Dan always started with "Jane, you ignorant slut...." Its still a useful quote. I am fond of "Jane you ignorant slut! You and your cocaine snorting friends, with matresses strapped to your back, have no understanding of this issue."

For me, one of the great mysteries of human beings is the voice, and especially its capacity to sing. As I understand it, there is still no adequate explanation for the exact physiological difference between speaking and singing, yet the aural difference is, of course, evident to anyone who can hear.

One reason for my interest in the voice, I think, is that it is very difficult to censor. Once one learns the rudiments of how people attempt to disguise their voices, usually unconsciously, even the attempt itself reveals a level of vulnerability that is precisely what the speaker is trying to cover up.

So I agree: the voice of an escort -- like the voice of anyone else -- tells everything, or almost everything, I want to know. It's interesting how easy it is to dissemble with facial expression and body language. But you know in an instant, on asking someone how they are and they reply with that crisp, high-pitched "Fine", that they are anything but fine.

When I wrote a review of JeffOH a couple of years ago, I said something to the effect that the sound of his voice is the way a fur coat feels. I could also have said -- but didn't -- that the sound of Jeff's voice is a natural substitute for Viagra.

In the olden days before the Internet, I made all my first approaches to escorts through the telephone. The sound of the escort's voice always determined whether I wanted to hire him, regardless of what his picture looked like. I broke off the contact after only a few minutes conversation on many occasions. A deep, masculine voice has always been more of a turn-on for me than a big cock.

Hmmmm---JeffOh, I didn't see any post here by you and not sure what you were referring to. I on the other hand was referring directly to and about [font color = "blue"

]JUSTSTARTING[font color = "green"

Would that be a fake "fur"? LOL

Thanks Will, I suppose I'd better be careful how I use my Viagra voice. LOL

I got off on Emily Latella and never responded tothe topic of this thread.

The voice is very important in sexual attraction. A great voice combined with a great accent can really make me wild. I, of course, am very weak for a sexy French Canadian accent. Although I could also fall for a Spanish, Italian or Eastern European accent.

The voice can be a huge turnoff when it doesn't match the rest of the physical package. Have you ever seen the big macho butch looking dude, who ruined the whole image as soon as he opens his mouth? We had an expression for one particular guy like the who we knew. We called him "See Tarzan, Hear Jane".

The sound of a guy's voice is critical to me -- if I'm turned off by the way he sounds or speaks, then I'm not going to have a particularly good sexual experience. It's not that a guy must have a very sexy voice -- though that is a big turn-on and a big plus. But it is one of those mysterious factors that can ruin someone's "sex appeal" for me, no matter what he looks like. I guess we all have our buttons -- those that make us horny for someone else, and those that make us disinterested (sexually, that is).

I won't hire an escort without speaking to him first.

And there are more than a few porn stars that I wish had "voice doubles." AFAIC, Zak Speaks can do all the voice-overs for porn films.:p

On a few occasions I've wanted nothing more than to quote Dianne Weist from Bullets Over Broadway: "No, no, don't speak! Don't speak! Please don't speak! Please don't speak! No! No! No!"

A voice (male or female) with a rich sound is something incredibly

beautiful and ... sensual!

Even as an opera-fan and a guy with a trained voice, knowing quite a bit about our invisible and wonderful instrument I can't deliver a sound explanation why some voices are getting to me and other ones I almost can't stand. Probably it's again a matter of taste (de gustibus non est disputandum).

In the context with sex I admit that an escort with an appealing (me) rich voice can be a big turn-on, which definitely adds another dimen-

sion to a meet.

From those escorts I reviewed Matt from Vancouver has indeed a very manly, sexy voice (+ an lovely accent) and he gets my voice-award besides his other talents.:9

Once so far I met an escort with an unpleasant voice (not his fault) and I'm sure you can imagine yourself what I did so he was mostly un-

able to speak ...

But to be honest I have to state that when I meet escorts their voice is not my first preoccupation: anyway I don't hire them so they sing an aria for me ...}( ...

but I'd rather like them to be experts at playing a different tune!:p

Have a pleasant day, ortrud 45

What am I, Brenda Vaccaro on speed? :p Actually, JS, when you called my cell phone, we had just entered the MUNI (the subway in SF) so I had bad reception (plus it was noisy) and I was talking fast because we had to get the next train (we were headed to the Casto Theatre to see 2001: A Space Odyssey). But that's funny that you said my voice sounded like that of a top (I've heard that before...also that I "look" like a top). Are versatile guys & bottoms supposed to talk & look like Marilyn Monroe? :p

LOL Don't you think I'd be a little bigger if I took steroids? I mean, really. :p

Bill, you ignorant slut

Did you catch the latest SNL with Clinton and Dole? Priceless stuff. Aykroyd used his Bill. you ignorant slut line. I wonder tho if for one segment they could get Bob Dole to play Bob Dole?
