Why doesn't Miss Ross have a chauffeur??

(Greenwich-AP) -- Motown great Diana Ross is having more problems behind the wheel. The Greenwich Time is reporting the former Supremes star was cited Sunday for driving an unregistered motor vehicle.

 

The 58-year-old singer reportedly told police she rarely drives the black Ford Taurus because it's owned by her California booking agency.

 

The citation carries a $78 fine.

Considering her career is basically in the toilet, perhaps she can't afford one.

Straight Acting and Gay Acting

 

For some reason this thread reminds me of the whole issue of whether it's appropriate to use the term "straight acting" in referring to gay men.

 

There was a recent discussion of the issue of whether being gay has anything to do with one's behavior anywhere other than in the bedroom. A number of posters seemed very certain that it does. If you believe that being gay affects one's behavior other than in one's choice of sex acts and sex partners, in other words, if there is such a thing as "gay acting," then I suppose you would have to agree that "straight acting" is a meaningful and legitimate concept. It would properly be used to refer to people for whom the affect of gay-ness on behavior is minimal.

 

If on the other hand you don't subscribe to the idea that being gay has anything to do with anything other than sex, then you would agree that "straight acting" has little meaning. Seems logical, no?

The point is these 'stars' are above DMV matters, they hire some schmuck do to it for them. And they don't it.
