Sure it is. Because your communications skills can only improve if you take the time to say what you mean in a way that does not leave you feeling guilty. I should think it would build character, too.

To be honest, most of the time I'd rather not.

Here's my point~

I've simply had alot on my mind regarding this message center and wanted to put thoughts on paper, so to speak. It was as much to serve as thought for fellow posters as to appease my tendancy to let my emotions ball-up & trickle out lopsided. We Irishmen are a strange bunch sometimes :)

I really didn't intend on my statement coming across as 'let's all hold hands, sing campfire songs and meditate.' I know a board without opinion would be incredibly boring. Just remember that there's a huge difference between a debate & a down-n-dirty mudslinging. Even Sandra Bernhardt would blush at some of the things i've heard in the past few weeks here.

At no time have i ever thought of leaving the board. Hell no... That would be quitting: aka, the chickenshit-option. It's just smarter to pick your battles & ignore the other crap. Basically, i'll stick to the Mr. Ed school of thought~ Only posting when i have something to say. lol. I do, however, appreciate the kind words of support from you guys... THAT is why i love escorting. My guys are the best :)

Anywho. I think this thread has gotten long enough without me rambling even more. This concludes our nightly broadcast.

Warmest Always,

Lucky I didn't know Rod had left us, maybe I missed it. The last two posts I noticed were his missing file (silly Rod using a Mac :p ) and his upcoming trip to Asia. I believe he is on that trip about now :) .

How was your California trip? Did you find any exciting escorts?

RE: The Current State of my CA trip

I was supposed to leave today for Ca, but my friend in LA had an unexpected surgery and is unable to accompany me as planned. So I had a root canal yesterday instead!

RE: The Current State of my CA trip

Root canal or a week in WeHo - pretty similar experiences I'd say. And the pain from the root canal will probably wear off quicker.

Rats!! Donny Osmond and I have been practicing the past couple of days so we could lead the singing. :+ (Does that mean I have to stop holding hands with him and acting campy?) :7

Seriously, I really enjoy this site and the exchange of ideas. But, there have been times it's become more "in your face" and confrontational than I like. I've also been very dismayed with the hijacking of threads and intentional attempts to disclose personal information. I really appreciate the hard work (probably unpaid) done by the moderators, Daddy, and HooBoy to keep this site operational.

Benjamin,

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Although I still look around the message board from time to time, it's on a far less frequent basis than before and hardly ever post anymore. Partly its 'cause I have less time than before ('new' job) but mostly it's that I have the feeling of entering a minefield everytime I post and never knowing when someone's going to 'go off'. I get enough of that at work ;)

Yeah, I know that it's been worse in the past (I lurked a lot then too and for the same reason ;) ) but that doesn't necessarily excuse us now...

Anyway, I suspect your ramblings speak for at least a few of us and hopefully all of us will think about this thread...

Thanks for posting

Alan

Have you ever heard this: "Dont shit where you eat.". THat applies here. Use the boards to drop in from time to time, only engage in positive threads, and NEVER get involved in an argument.

This is your living on the line, and you are not anonymous, as most of the others here are. They have nothing to lose, and will say whatever they want. You however, can and will be screwed for stepping in the wrong pile of shit.

These guys don't care what you think about current events, or that you even think at all. Rod seems like hes so caught up trying to prove that hes not a stupid whore that he'll get into the stupidest conversations.

Thats the thing about being an escort. You want people to know and understand that there is more to you than your body and sex. And you would think that this board would be a great place to express that, but it's not. This is not the place to have an opinion.

If you to be here and be free to talk your true feelings, then form an alternate personality. Use your work name only for positive posts, and let the shit fly with your other.

Are you speaking from experience? Who are you really (as if we don't already know)? :*

Benjamin,

You seem like a really sweet kid. Just thank your lucky stars that you weren't here when Ethan and Truth Teller were here! (Of course I kinda miss their posts ... especially Ethan's :7 )

I dont understand why people get so worked up about something they have no control over.If the guy wants to post his opinions then let him its not harming any one as far as i can see.

Places like this will in one form or another be around until the end of time places where folks can go and shout, scream, say whats on their mind and get away with it well 99% of the time,if they go over the line then they will be dealt with by the powers that be.

It never fails to amuse me that people get so worked up about comments made by anonymous people who may live thousands of miles away its like going out on to the street say Sunset Blvd and stopping the first person you meet and asking them random questions their answers may differ from yours a lot but would you shout and scream at them and call them names if their point of view didnt tally with yours? i dont think so.

As guys who have been here a long time have said this place seems to go in cycles and it also seems that there have been bigger and more worse bust ups in the history of this board however long its been around, believe me if people are worrying over the state of a place like this then their life must be pretty good at this moment in time and good on you if thats the case.

Dont take life too seriously and you'll live longer ;)

>Brother Foxy, I'm proud to be part your family.

>

>I really do like the diversity as long as we remain civil. ;-)

>

And that's it in a nutshell, isn't it?

I don't mind the arguements, in fact I welcome them. Discussion and debate are wonderful things to sharpen the mind and make you look at yourself all the more closely. The problem is that there are enough people on the board who take it beyond debate and lose that civility. Not everyone on the Iraq debate is a 'warmonger' or a 'cheese-eating surrender monkey' but that seems to be where we're headed.

Like Benjamin, I don't know what the solution is, (I doubt that there is one...;-) ) but it's sure nice to get the problem off your chest from time to time...

Benjamin,

What an amazing thread you have inspired! I not only agree with your sentiments, I, as always, admire the way you frame them. The sadness you feel about the state of the MC is the reason I rarely ever participate here, and, when I do, merely help shore up a person's point of view from time to time.

But this thread has been a revelation; an interesting and revealing peak into the souls...or what passes for one in some cases...of some of this community's posters; the negative ones, as usual, failing to recognize themselves or take responsibility, or simply rationalizing their patently rude behavior, while the better ones among us doing a fine job of stepping in to surround you with their admiration and respect.

I would love comment on many of the comments but won't simply because it isn't necessary. The comments themselves are eloquent enough. They speak volumes, and stand as testaments to the people who wrote them.

I would, however, like to say this: if I knew I was going to die tomorrow, the one escort on this site I would move Heaven and Earth to be with on my last night would be you. You are an outstanding person, Benjamin. Every time I see one of your posts, or read one of your wonderful reviews, it's like running into an old friend.

If I ever get the chance to meet you, I don't know what you will be doing, but I'll be making love.

With the warmest and highest regards,

-BobbyB

I can agree with you about the quality of Benjamin's posts. I feel that the same thing can also be said about a few more of the escorts who post here. I think we are lucky to have the best and the brightest posting here for our edification. They add a great deal to the commentary when they choose to post.
