one of the greats....a classic....

after watching the youtube above, the other suggested clips at the end led to my watching an appearance of Diller on "What's My Line?"....fantastic....(and that led to me wasting the last 15 minutes on other WML mystery guests)....always hilarious....

I loved this woman. Speaking in the past tense makes for great sadness. She leave's me with an impression in my mind and heart of the smartest funny woman of many decades of laughs. Underneath her shocking hair and clothes was a keen, wise sense of humor that made for gut-splitting hiliarity. R.I.P. Phyllis Diller.

A Portland artist, Thomas Lauderdale (of Pink Martini), recorded what I believe is Phyllis Diller's last recording. He was at her home in January 2012 and accompanied her while she sang "Smile".

This is a wonderful memory of her and a great tribute.
