If it was a truly honest book that would sell, the escort would take the chance of hurting some of his regular clients and/or famous people who hired him only once, twice, or more often. That may be fine with him, if he needs the money...but not so fine with some of his former clients.

Or perhaps we are pretending the escorts have never said negative things to us about other clients, famous or not famous.

I think it's a very bad idea.

Let's all keep in mind that a book about a hundred or so sugar-sweet times with clients under the moonlight would not only end up in the bargain bin in about 5 minutes—it would never get published. The best reads are going to be about drama.

Wthout responsible financial planning, no. Lucca Rugge was on the "ripe" side of 45 when I saw him; unfortunately, his "retirement" had died on him with the last laugh in having spend everything down to the last dime on the "lifestyle" Lucca enjoyed so well, and, financial necessity dictated his return to the business. Gary Ware, of whom I have made reference in this thread, died at New Orleans in a run-down "shot-gun" tenement with only his clothing to his name; a friend stepped forward to paid for his funeral. My godson, who once made something under $100,000 in one year in his prime, is now a penniless, unemployed ribbon clerk facing eviction from his apartment. I don't recollect any publishing houses having hustled them for their "life-stories".

Exactly, Max. I understand that a book with drama could profit an escort. It might be a fun read for most clients as well, including those clients who are mentioned negatively (not by name) in the autobiography and have a sense of humor and perspective. But, there are many people who take their relationships with escorts far more seriously. That's why I think it is a bad idea.

I think that is right. And for that reason, I'd pick someone like Scott Sloan.

Preface: Throughout my twenty-plus years of escorting, I have met many wonderful clients: men who related to me like a son, pal, boyfriend, lover, and confidante; who treated me with respect and kindness; and who made my working hours, days, and weeks a pleasant and fulfilling experience.

This book is about the rest of the bastards.

I agree books penned by Tyger, Tristan and Draker would be fascinating reads. When I've hired Tristan Baldwin on several occasions, we've shared some of our "private" lives with one another. As a result, I've come to adore Tristan even more after hearing about the struggles, tenacity and triumphs that are all part of his life-story.

Heath Jordan--one of my current escort obsessions--writes an interesting blog about his porn/escorting adventures (leaving out many sensational details I'm sure). Heath could successfully parlay his experiences in the sex industry into a riveting autobiography that I'd read over and over, especially if he includes lots of his nude pics. :)

WilliamM, no one is saying that this book is ever going to be written. At least as I envisioned the thread, the idea was which escort autobiography would you like to read. Lookin has it right that the drama would need to be played up, and we could only get that in a fantasy book as I think most escorts will take to the grave the serious flubs we clients made...right?

Tony Cummings, a model/porn star/escort from a few years back, would be a good read. I have no idea about his writing style, but the guy was/is an intellect. Oh the juicy stuff he could share. :)

I met Tony once here in New Orleans when he was guest dancing at OZ on Bourbon Street. He came back to my place for a very memorable session. What a sexy, smart and friendly young man! I wish he was still escorting because I bet he's even hotter today as he's physically matured.

I agree that the book has to wait until they are retired, but then, does an escort ever retire anymore?

Sure they do. A few of the ones I have hired have retired while I was in the bathroom freshening up.

I have known most of the men mentioned here and I believe David might have the best stories but I am not sure he has the writing style to maintain my interest for a full autobiography.

So, i am opting to read the book entitled: Not Diana and Marilyn. The slightly exaggerated life tales of the other Ross and Monroe.

Though i suspected there will be as much groaning over the puns as the sex.

Recognizing that this would be a controversial choice, and I don't intend to start another flame war, but I would be interested to read the autobiography of the escort whose name should not be spoken (written) here. I certainly expect someone to make a comment about the escort plagiarizing some other escorts autobiography so I'll just "nip it in the bud" up front. And I am very sincere in saying that an accurate/detailed account could be a very interesting read.

ben would write an amazing book. he's shared some of his adventures with me over time and they're all great stories.

like him or hate him, he's a smart guy who writes well. he'd pen a nice read.

But we have one who posts here, and by that I mean Steven Draker. As internet posters, Steven and I don't always agree. But, if I were to buy the autobiography of an international escort, his is the one I would choose. He has wisely used the internet, perhaps is even a pioneer in its use to make a career for himself as an international escort. The stories he must have stored up!

Ah, Lucky, thank you for the honor, Sir.

I'm not a writer, but I can think of ghostwriter who is a good friend of mine.

I promise in advance there won't be any real names and no outings, so everyone relax now. :)

A ghostwriter? Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Then, if anyone gets mad, you can blame the ghostwriter, saying I told him not to use that story!

I can't wait to hear the stories about...well, not their real names, but...Cookin, weej, Totally Daddy, Biff and Boffo, Tolliver, and Marley...no one will ever figure out who they really are.

The list goes on...

This could be a fun book (if it ever saw the light of day). But the original premise was that it was written by a traveling international escort. The one that does come to mind is Steven, already mentioned. But I can't help thinking that it might not be as interesting as we vicariously think it might be. People have already alluded to the need for drama within the story, and I think that is certainly true. But if someone with the literary prowess of Sidney Sheldon, Jackie Collins, or (god forbid) Judith Krantz - Princess Daisy, anyone? - took the basic premise and ran with it and developed it, adding some sort of common underlying thread to ground the story and give dramatic unity to it - well it sounds like a hit to me. Might even become an HBO series. Oh wait, we already had Hung and that didn't last too many seasons. But then that was about a straight male escort, and with the current public fascination with all things gay - I can just imagine an awesome show. Hell, I'd even tune it to watch it. With some of the lyricists that have recently come forth on this very site in other threads, couldn't it become a musical? Lots of Bob Fosse-style dancing and glamorous costumes (well at least some spiffy underwear!), and some improbable singing - well the mind just reels at the prospect(s).Maybe a subplot of international intrigue - who was that important French banker who had that nasty hotel chambermaid claim he raped her - I'm just throwing that out there as a possible sub-thread. Yes, indeed, Steven, you need to be talking to ghostwriters and considering your options. There's a lot to be made in TV or movie rights!

That is one of the funniest things I have ever read!

I hope in his biography one of these escorts also writes about the customers who have been stranded after he was a no show in Dallas. One of the most heralded escorts mentioned here did that and I will never forget it. I guess none of us are perfect.

I think David and BN would have great story's but unless they are retired with nothing to lose and willing to call out famous clients no one is going to care and it will end up in the discount bin at big lots

Since I spend a lot of time in Europe, and find sex with European men interesting, I'd enjoy reading from the perspective of an escort who travels internationally and has sex with men from a variety of cultures. I'm sure Steven Draker has seen and tasted a lot of varied cock and witnessed some very interesting situations and language snafus.

For sheer brow-raising gossip and an opinion on theater and all things style related, who can provide a better read than Benjamin Nicholas? Big name publishers may not want to sign a contract for fear that some of the stories may not be true, but self-publishing is a viable option now, and who knows what Hollywood may want to do with those stories. It's always been very clear to me that BN has talent. I just hope he has a smart adviser (a good lawyer, hopefully) he can trust.

Would an escort autobiography without the cache of a prison perspective be like an escort without auto-fellatio skills? Selling books is no different that selling Hip Hop, a Rap Sheet can put sales over the top. So maybe Scott Adler has a future in writing. Lord knows she loves to exercise her trap. I'm sure her prison tales alone, whether true or just a figment of her imagination, would make an arm-gripping good read. It's difficult to imagine Scott's life without easy access to a flat-iron.

gotta say I'd rather read juicy escort stories than reviews of the current hot spa/restaurant/resort/airport club/show/airline's first-class service.....
