I'm thinking of buying this 1 carat total weight pendant--meaning the bottom one is about 1/2 carat, middle is 1/3, and top is 1/6. The pendant is about 5/8 inches high.

If you were a wealthy but down-to-earth guy on a date, would a girl wearing this seem like a gold digger? (The two people I mentioned above fit that demographic, but there are probably others too who just haven't revealed that in posts.). I don't wear any other jewelry--no bracelets or rings, and my ears aren't even pierced--and I don't carry expensive handbags.

No, it would look she has exquisite taste.

Gold-diggers only become gold-diggers because the owner of the mine hands them a shovel.

Once again-it's the bottom piece which gives the top all the glory. :p

I think it's an exquisite piece, which is subtle, classy and elegant.

Where you choose to dig after it comes off, however, is an entirely different question.:)

It is lovely. As long as it is a tasteful length, leading the eyes toward the breasts rather than lying smack dab in the middle of them. it is not suggestive nor overdone, especially if worn alone or with a single piece elsewhere.

Thanks, Phil, Boner, Max, and Purpl!

Purplecow and Boner, The bottom piece isn't my strong point. They're perky A cups, and the pendant sits several inches above the cleavage line.

Phil, so are you going to give me a bigger one?

But some owners look for sign that the girls want the shovel.

If this is for a girl/woman, it has to be the absolutely right length on the chest, with no other jewelry except diamond ear rings to match. I can't see a guy wearing this, but maybe... who knows...

Yep, it's for me. (A guy wearing a diamond pendant? Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I can't see it.) I rarely wear jewelry, and when I do it's a single piece. Even pairing it with earrings would be too much for my minimalist style.

Like I said, it's about 3 or 4 inches above my cleavage, but I can change the chain.

Can I take it?

Taking jewelry from a helpless kitten is so mean.

I'm much more about TASTY lenght !

It would go very well with your minimalist style. Yep it will communicate exquisite taste and cool confidence.

I am curious why a girl wearing jewelry would seem like a gold digger?

Orbital, because I'm a minimalist, wearing any kind of jewelry, especially diamonds, seems like a big deal to me. Also, many of the guys I date are down to earth and don't appreciate a girl loaded down with diamonds. So I wanted to make sure it's subtle enough, and you guys have reassured me it is.

Daddy, maybe my gold digger evil twin can wear those. ;)

You know how to get me all wet..............

Well, you know I'd do a lot to you feel good, Phil. Feel free to buy me more necklaces if it gets you hot. :)

The necklace is a fine choice, and appropriate for a woman of simple elegance. Your presence is a delight in Hooville. I wish I was in your neck of the woods to treat you to dinner. It would be a privilege to enjoy your company when you display the new jewels.

Fresh,

I LOVE understated elegance! It's classy, it's real. The necklace with a smallish diamond stud in each ear.. too hot for words!

Absolutely! To steal the thread for a moment:

My mother was a tad ditzy and lived in Arkansas for a number of years. Her husband and she had gone to a jewelry store in Litle Rock:

"So, Mom, what did you buy?"

"They had a great tennis bracelet - three rows of matched one carat diamonds."

"Mom - Why didn't you buy it?"

"It was $100,000 dollars - and where would I wear it?"

"To K-Mart, Mom, when you go clothes shopping - everyone would think it was a fake!"

My bad, but I had to tell it. Great pendant! Is it Tiffany's?
