What is more important to you: Your home local market or your traveling tours?

I am currently in the process of doing something I never thought I would ever have to do again and that is to build another local market here in TAMPA BAY. I thought I would be in New Orleans forever (NOLA may 16-21st though) Building my new market in TAmpa is alot of fun and I am loving it. The problem is that while building up a new market it is incumbent upon me that I actually be in the local market most of the time. I find that the first 6 months to a year in a new area is when the vast majority of good, real, new clients will take the new guy on a test drive. So what this is doing is delaying my spring/summer touring schedule to the northeast which I really want to do. I am a multi-talented multi-tasking man but one talent I do not posesses sadly is the ability to be two places at once. So here again is the question to escorts: Is your current bread and butter your home city or you touring? Question for clients: Do you prefer to hire a regular guy who is almost always home for easy access or would you prefer more of a touring guy who may have a little more buzz about him and more of a reputation?? My preference would be a great local, regularly accessible, which I have had in the past, but since I live in Atlanta.........<sigh>......where the quality options are quite dismal, the reality is I must meet travelers passing through or hook up on my journeys.

Honestly, both are REAL good. Having a dependable local that you can get to know "very" well is a major plus. But being able to connect with so many other terrific men by them traveling to you or "vice verse" is a "variety is the spice of life" big bonus.

DG has already provided spot-on analysis of the local scene in ATL. My preference is mid 20s to early 40s, 5-8 to 6-2, muscled/athletic/in-shape, versatile, passionate, mature, conversant, good company in private AND in public, free from the influences of drugs, drink, parties, and prison. Given MY preference, a cursory glance at reviews and ads reveals that my specs are in short supply in the local area. There were better times here in days-by-gone, but they are a fading memory......<sigh>

I enjoy seeing travelers and locals, but travelers who I want to see get priority because of the law of supply and demand. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, so they say. Maybe traveling will allow you to force clients to schedule in advance as you've previously said you prefer since it will limit your availability and clients will have to compete with one another for your time while you are in town.

As a client, I like the thrill of a visiting escort, but am often disappointed because his appointments often fill up so fast, that I may not be able to schedule a booking. Plus, I don't like the idea of being one of several clients in a day or so, even though I understand that the pro needs lots of clients to make the trip profitable. I live in NYC, so it's great for a large and diverse number of escorts, but due to the high costs of hotels, it's hard sometimes for traveling guys to make a profit unless they're superstars or well-known porn stars. The buzz and reputation don't matter to me so much, since I'm more about the right connection for a fulfilling time, rather than being able to say I've met with so and so.

 

I think I'd really much prefer a regular local guy, but I've been having a difficult time pinpointing one. I prefer hiring a local escort. If I get horny one night I call him up. The time and day are my choice and at my convenience. Each time I have hired a traveling escort it has been more at their convenience as far as the time and day. Also if I really like the traveling escort there is a chance I will never see him again. Interesting that the focus of my thread has turned to ATLANTA. ATL is one of my favorite places to visit and to work. I miss going there and that was the purpose of my thread. My market building in TAMPA BAY is also keeping me from ATLANTA. I have never been so busy in my life as I was in my 7 or 8 tours to atlanta. When I left my dick was literally falling off. ATL has the nicest clients I have ever met and most of them indicated a preference that I should move there. I never have been able to understand why some of the #1 top national studs do not live there or at least use it as a base. The local market there is BEGGING for the type guy discussed above. On a typical night touring in atl I had anywhere from 3 to 7 choices of clients at the same time. 6 million residents and 2, 3 or 4 decent providers??? That is crazy. I must say I am seriously considering getting a small apartment there. The market is hard to resist and the airport is so convienient for travel.
