Requirements:long lasting,only a dab'l do ya,non-irratating,easy clean-up,non staining,odor-flavor free, super slick!,and condom safe.

While I do like Eros, I have found it is NOT all that easy to clean up. You can end up slick all over. :-)

Also Eros has stained my colored sheets and the upholstery on one of my chairs.

My personal favorite right now is FRIXION. Water soluble so clean up is very easy. Doesn't dry out quickly and very slick.

Does it not have the staining problem that Barry mentioned above? I guess I'll try it out when I'm the top...but if I'm gonna give up this ass, I want only the best used on it. To me, Eros is like L'Oreal...because I'm worth it (somebody slap me). :p

Consider it done!

Also an Eros man here and I use it as a top. I used to be a Wet Light fan, but I like how Eros is long lasting. You don't have to stop and relube as much.

For jerking off though, I was with a guy once who had the smoothest best tasting cock. I couldn't suck it enough. He told me that he used olive oil to jerk off with!

Hey Guys.

Great Topic.

Well, I must say that EROS is DEFINITELY my lube of choice.

This stuff has the feel and consistency of liquid precum!

Eros never seems to dry out or become sticky.

EROS is a silicone based lube.

At this time, I am not aware of any other silicone-based lubes on the market with EROS's properties.

All of the other lubes mentioned here I believe are water based (If I am wrong, please feel free to correct me) and all eventually seem to become sticky. The solution of course is to keep applying more lube.. and more lube ..etc.

That less expensive bottle of lube can quickly become a false economy. (Trust me.. I know.. it takes a LOT of lube to cover my monster dick.. and I can last a LONG time..)

Eros is expensive, but discounts can be found if one shops around online. Also, some of the bookstores in larger cities will run specials from time to time. This is especially true if there are several similar stores in a small area (such as the Castro in SF).

Try weekdays and avoid times approaching holidays; especially 'gay' holidays.. (Halloween, pride, etc) when retailers tend to jack up the prices for the gay Dollar.

Eros, being silicone based is hard to clean up, true.

I recommend a mild dish detergent (I use Joy dish detergent) I find that this works well and it has a pleasant scent (not loaded with cheap perfumes). I used it once a long time ago to clean this stuff up and have used it as an EXCELLENT body soap ever since. I can't tell you how many guys beg to know what the soap is that I am using <grin> (and no, it doesn't dry my skin out).

Getting EROS stains out of sheets and fabrics is another matter!

My suggestions are: HOT HOT water, liquid detergent rubbed in at the stain and bleach where appropriate. If you have your own washing machine, run the wash cycle TWICE (stop the machine just before the rinse cycle kicks in and re-set it to the beginning of the wash cycle.) If using a commercial washer at a laundromat, wash the stuff twice. If you have ANY doubts as to whether the stains have been removed or not (hard to tell when clothes are wet) Do NOT dry the itmes in a dryer - let them air dry. If the stains are still present the heat of a clothes dryer will bake them in making the stains permanent. Air drying gives you another chance to remove the stains. A better idea might be to use old sheets and don't still be wearing that favorite shirt when the action starts! <grin>

Silicone lubes have been frowned upon because of possible problems with latex compatibility (latex condoms and silicone sex toys). While I have had no problems with eros and condoms (Magnum XLs.. and believe me .. I strain the hell out of them) I HAVE noticed that they DO deteriorate the silicone rubber 'gel' cockrings I like to use. (Of course, I tend to strain the hell out of THEM, too!) <grin>

Additionally, the overwhelming majority of guys whom I've encountered who like to perform oral indicate that they find that EROS has the least objectionable taste (or no taste at all). A few dislike it, but those few are sure to dislike almost any commercial available lube for that purpose. (In their circumstance I would suggest using butter or olive oil if they need some assistance in gliding a whopper all the way down).

Lastly, be aware that EROS makes 2 other formulations. One is a GEL and the other is a WATER BASED concoction. AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS!! These bottles look almost EXACTLY the same as the original formula and both are FAR INFERIOR. The primary difference in the packaging is a SMALL THIN RED or BLUE stripe near the bottom of the label.

While I'm always prepared with my own supplies, its a nice treat when a client has thought ahead to have on hand my favorite EROS lube, a box of Magnum XL condoms and a couple of gel cockrings <grin>.

A large bottle or two of EROS can also be a nice way to tip if you know in advance that your guy likes that (That's just a serving suggestion! <grin> Gratuity of the traditional green variety is always well received!)

Suffice to say if I were to ever offer a 'Tom BuStone Seal of Approval' for anything.. EROS would probably be on top of the list!

Love this website.

Where else can we talk about all this neat stuff?

I have bottles of both Eros and ID Millenium both have the exact same ingredients. I like both but since I can't tell much, if any difference I would buy the ID to save ALOT of money!

After trying many different lubes, and after many years of "personal" experience, I've gone back to Vaseline . . . I've found none better. I've considered all of the warnings about condom's and petroleum jelly, but with the improvement in condom manufacturing, and the use of new materials, I've found the most pleasurable, long lasting, lube to be the greasy kids stuff!

<Maybe you have the non-silicon based Eros that Tom talked about. Does your ID Millenium indicate silicon in the ingredients and does it have the same staining qualities? He did say there were three types of Eros, but just guessing.>

OK guys here are the ingredients in each product in order listed:

Eros...Dimethicone and Dimethiconol,Cyclomethicone

ID Milllennium ...Cycomethicone,Dimethicone,Dimethconol

Can't help u on the taste issue...sorry
