In my experience, any number of these young men suffer from behavorial or personality disorders complicated by substance abuse of some type and care should be exercised in tossing "treats" to them. In my lifetime, I have known two or three escorts who washed out to sea on a tide of cocaine furnished by appreciative clients.

I have a few clients who are mental health professionals. None of them would describe me as being unstable. I use to smoke pot and drink but that was it. Never even tried anything else and I don't intend to.

Although I give credence to the family's representation of Bremer's death, I suppose, by some members of the forum, they will be dismissed as "gossips"? Bremer's death is a tragedy; that the lesson in the thing will go, more likely than not, without heed by those who should pay attention, is disheartening. Enough stated on my part. . .

Is the gossip unsubstantiated when the deceased man's own family refers to it as fact in a Facebook tribute to him?

It is quoted here: http://www.rememberingmatthewbremer.com/

I don't know if this the same statement from the grandmother which was removed from at least one other site at the request of the father (who said the coroner's report was not yet back)

Perhaps I read too quickly but I see no reference to suicide. (as a matter of fact, even robberbaron's source referred to 'unintentional self-termination' - and I think his omission of the word 'unintentional' makes a huge difference.) The post definitely implies that drugs were involved but actually never mentions any facts (overdose, etc.) - it reads to me as the grandmother's conclusions. I would not be surprised if the death was drug-related, but I have yet to see anyone reporting anything official.

But regardless of the circumstances - a tragedy.

Had I a son, and, having had encouraged him to pursue a career in the pornographic flick industry which ended in self-termination of whatsoever nature, I was faced with an old granny whinning over the vileness of the how and the why and the wheretofore of the thing on the www, I would have her purged from the net without second thought.

You'd cut off your mother for publicly grieving for her grandson and for vowing to keep other young people from falling prey to drug addiction? I generally enjoy your posts, but I find this difficult to understand.

RB4U....are you saying his father (one of them??) did encourage Matthew to go into porn?....I didn't read that in any of the stories on this.....

"Had I a son, and, having encouraged him to pursure a career in the pornographic flick industry" is a subjective remark on my behalf. I have not encouraged any "escort" with whom I have an acquaintance to pursue such a career; indeed, if they can do ANYTHING else than sell their flesh to put a roof over their head and food on the table, I urge them to do so. Unfortunately, as I have noted, many of these lads suffer from personality and behavior disorders which preclude them from from pursuing traditional careers, and, for others, the "escort" business represents "easy" money. I hasten to add that I do not core men's souls; I endeavour to be sympathetic. The pain and anguish that Bremer's mother and grandmothers suffer in his tragic death is a heavy burden for them, and, I am saddened for them in their loss.

Robber,

Your cryptic posts on threads of a less serious nature are frequently fun and entertaining to try and figure out. However, in this case when we are dealing with the recent death of someone, I don't find it amusing at all....rather just in poor taste.

Reminds me of a certain post sent from the PS weekend which essentially made fun of Whitney Houston's drug use and death. That was poor taste as well and unfortunately never properly explained after the fact.

Was RobberBaron's post written in a fashion aiming for humor? I personally didn't think so. I didn't think anyone else would think so. Yes, he usually writes in a manner uniquely wry or analytically droll, but I didn't think this post was humorous or intended to be so.

Honestly, I don't know what he was aiming for but his posts on this thread made no sense to me and others. Did he want humor? Intrigue? Confusion? Let's let robber speak for himself. Robber?

There are excellent questions.

However, I also occasionally post without a clear-cut intention. A thought comes to mind which I wish to share with this community because sometimes it (you) are my closest cohorts in the area of escorting. I find Robber's posts infinitelyinteresting to read if only because they are exquisitely well-written. Eventually they spark reactions which bring back topics of more popular concern, almost always the buying & selling more more dick or how to more and more enjoy getting f*cked up the rear. The most God-awful posts are those who seem to do nothing else but use this forum as a personal blog.

However, those blog-type posts/threads are usually labeled as such, making them easy to skip.

I find Robber's prose style isn't quite my speed, his posts contain some trenchant commentary on the higher end of the industry.

Freshfluff:

By higher end of the industry, do you mean more expensive escorts or lavish vacations with escorts?

I meant expensive escorts, or long term arrangements with same.

Freshfluff,

Many thanks! I never picked up on that before, but I believe you are right. It is

a fascinating area to me personally and possibly a few others--but how many? I'll ask!

Best wishes,
