I certainly would never pay to see the pics and would drop any escort who tried to charge off my list. Unfortunately, there will be some naive client out there who will think such practices are standard procedure and pay for the pics.

I hadn't noticed that. Often I have encountered ads where the XXX photos are restricted (usually to an adult verification pass and I only subscribe to one so might not have the right one). I assume you can still see at least one pic of the escort and, if so, then I don't have a problem with that. Anyway, if the ad is enough to interest me I will get in touch with the escort to obtain additional stats and pics before deciding whether to hire him. I agree that charging for pics on these escort sites is not likely to interest many. Must be a sign of the hard economic times we are facing! :-(

As an escort, I find this practice annoying. Why would I want to put a roadblock between a potential client and myself? I doubt the escort gets any kickback from this practice.

 

I'm happy to direct people to a website where they can see a variety of pictures of myself.

I personally agree it is not acceptable and any client who contacted me could receive a suitable collection of pictures from me via e-mail.

 

I also think for certain sites Deej has hit the nail on the head.

 

On the other hand, I also want to point out that most sites need to have some sort of adult verification system for hard core shots, for the protection of the site owner and often at the request and protection of the web host. When I have my site set up, I am going to provide all regulars with a free pass word for the adult only site but I really have not been able to come up with an acceptable solution that satisifies all the legal requirements and allows viewing of certain types of photographs on line.

 

I would certainly be interested in hearing how clients and others feel this should be resolved.

I will not pay UGAS or adult check or any one else to look at nude pics of anyone, much less an escort I want to hire! If the site requires an entry code to get in to see the nude shots, I think the escort should provide that upon private email request of the potential client. Common sense dictates that if you're in a business where getting your image 'out there' and into the hands of potential clients is a must, then why put monetary speed bumps in their way?

 

It's greed, pure & simple... The almighty dollar.

 

 

Strangely enough, some of this logic (to make additional cash) simply blows up in their faces. Maybe it's just me, but i am truly getting sick of guys who sell everything but their soul on websites just to make a little extra cash. It seems so... Trashy.

I don't know if I would go as far as calling it trashy, maybe just a way of getting people to pay for x-rated pics, as there are people posing as a potential client, who in reality only want pics to add to their personal collection, and who have no intention of hiring that escort or any other. In this case, the escort would at least get something, but on the other hand, I agree that it could cause them to lose business from people not interested in paying to see the merchandise upfront. But then again, this would apply only to those clients who need to see it all up front, before hiring. I could never understand the need to see it all upfront, as the best part IMO is discovering that in person for one's self. On the other hand, I could never understand why anyone would hire an escort based on a print ad only, or one who shows only a torso shot, ass shot or cock shot, or in this day and age, does not have an email and/or webpage. :o

The two specific examples I had in mind from Rentboy ant Itescorts all had links to their own web pages where fees were charged for pics. As for the point about charging being okay for x-pics if other pics are available, I am not sure I agree. What I have found is that where escorts charge for x-pics, the pics that they do show are of poor quality in that they lack face shots, have clothes on, or have bad lighting or camera angles. I guess that's why I see charging fees for pics to be a red flag.

My experience is that pics are only a rough guide in any event since so much can be done to enhance a pic, especially now with digital cameras. That is why this site is so valuable. My favorite example of an escort who is reviewed on this site is Jason Markus of NYC, who has pics that in no way reflect the beauty of this guy. I have been with him three times now in various places, most recently Miami, and he is just a gorgeous guy IMHO, but you would never know it from the pics. His reviews, on the other hand, are outstanding and in his case truly merited.

Would you hire an escort whose pics you had to pay to see before hirig him? I see this as a red flag. Isn't it kind of like having to pay for the Coke Ad before you but the Coke?
