Davy Jones R.I.P. He IMHO was the most likable of the Group....

My little sister had the biggest crush on him. I'd never tell her, but I did think he was cute. Like BG, I thought he was the best of the group.

The Monkees were -- and still are -- one of my favorite groups. And they were better than the critics thoughts.

A local radio station played a Monkees song in tribute, but it was a song where the lead was Mickey Dolenz. Oops. It's indicative of what the music industry thought of them.

Those early videos of Davy Jones are earily familar to the boy craze Justin Bieber today, IMO. The same mophead and similar facial features. Maybe Justin modeled himself after Davy.

The Monkees and their music--pure FUN, plain and simple! I remember dancing under the streetlight with the other kids in the neighborhood to "The Last Train to Clarkesville."
