Went to Adonis lounge last night. The Saturday nights seem to be doing well. As always, Tim does a great job, lots of hotties. The new dancer, Andres, the Indian guy, was stunningly beautiful. His lap dancing wasn't the greatest, but I think he'll learn with experience. He is also a nice guy. But I had to chase him down to get the lap dance. The irony was I heard him talking to Tim earlier expressing concern that he wasn't getting enough customers. I wanted to say "Hello... Turn around, buddy, there's a customer right behind you if you only look!"

And this brings me to my pet peeve: some of the dancers just expect the customers to chase them down to beg for a lap dance. Yes, some customers will do that (I ended up doing it myself for Andres), but this means they're only getting about 1/3 of their potential customers. The majority are quietly standing along the back wall waiting for the dancer to approach them, to just say hello, or smile, or at the very least make eye contact. So many dancers just pace back and forth and won't even look at you to start the process. Part of the fantasy of Adonis is to have a hot dancer come up to you and pretend he's interested, at least for a lap dance. I've been going to Adonis for a long while and dancers would always be very friendly and approach you, but I've noticed the trend now with the newer dancers seems to be you have to chase them down.

To put it in economic terms, I came in with about $400 to spend on lap dances. I ended up only spending $70, on Andres, and I had to chase him down to even spend that. There were two guys next to me I talked to, and they told me the same thing, they couldn't understand why the dancers kept walking by ignoring them when they had money in their pockets ready to spend on lap dances.

To end on an upbeat note, another new guy, Duke, was looking hot as can be. The pics of him on the net usually show him from the front, but it is his backside that is really eye popping. And he was showing it off in the tightest little shorts I ever saw. The pic below doesn't even do it justice. (And by the way, I also ended up chasing him down to get a lap dance, but I caught him just as he was on his way out, so too late -- lol -- never had so much trouble getting a lap dance!)

Duke, akaXXXX is one of the hottest-looking males on this planet. Bozo had the good fortune to meet him at Boardwalk a few times over the last two winters when he periodically drove down from UCF in Orlando, where he was a Theatre Arts major, to earn some extra $$. He also participated in a couple of charity events at last year's Gay Pride. Perhaps he plays for our team?

Here's a small sample of Duke's many talents. How many other Adonis dancers could belt a show tune like this:

How does one spell Adorable?

Bozo

Interesting thread from Irtwo. I have not been to Adonis, but I understand what he is talking about in a general sense. The opposite (overly-aggressive dancers) can also occur like at the boardwalk where the same dancer will hit you up for tips three times in 10 minutes. Perhaps at Adonis, the management have cautioned the dancers not to pester patrons unless the patron invites them over for a chat.

partially true I suspect. While Tim can be protective of his dancers when needed (that's why a bunch of them are very loyal to him), he is very client centered. If a client tells him a dancer is being a bit pushy, he will speak to the guy. Their are a number of steady clients that are there every week and the guys who dance every week know them at least by face: know who's buys and who's not and who's friendly and who's not etc. They mingle amiably with the crowd. The new guys and the stars don't have this advantage. Not every great physique or cock comes with an ego to match - notwithstanding they're hanging around in their BVDs (or less). Some can be a bit aloof if not shy. If you really want a lap dance, go up and say so. If you get a cold shoulder you've just saved $20 bucks. Just make sure Tim knows that.

This guy is SERIOUSLY sexy...if anyone has any intel on whether or not he escorts please chime in (discreetly or otherwise).

Well, I admit, if I had to choose between the two extremes of dancers being overly aggresive vs being aloof, I would choose aloof. But it would be nice to have a happy medium, just a friendly little nod and smile is all it takes. My initial idea was more from the viewpoint that it was the escorts who were missing out on potential customers by being too aloof.

Now as for Duke/XXXX I'll definitely be chasing him down at the next Adonis.

And speaking of hotties, what happened to Spencer? Haven't seen him at Adonis lately. I hope he's still part of the regular lineup. He's the best!

I've toyed with theidea of going to Adonis. Never been yet. But if I were willing to spend $400, it would be to have a guy rub up on me. It would be full on sex in a 1-on-1 setting. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I did enhoy the old Gaiety and stuffing those dollar bills into the dancers

"socks" . but nowadays dollar bills have tunred into $10 pops, and thats a bit much for a "feel"....

I would love to get there to see Duke/XXXX. And I have to say I like it better when the dancers are on the agressive side instead of seeming like they are ignoring you. Some of the dancers should go to other clubs and see how the guys who make money do it. Perhaps in Miami/Ft Lauderdale they are overly agressive, but in Phoenix and Detroit they would just stop by to say hello, see how you are doing, if you are having fun, and usually ask if you want a private or lap dance. I think thats better than having to hunt them down. I have been to other clubs where the guys just seem to be "too busy" to talk to me. But they forget if someone is in the strip club they most often come in with cash to spend on one or more dancers. So Hit Them Up guys!

My two quick cents as an Adonis regular..

1. You have to consider that dancers have feelings too and they can get hurt by client rejections.. I personally saw a dancer work up a customer for good 20 minutes, the customer was having fun touching him all over and then simply got up and left.... no tip, no lap dance, nada..

2. The worst experience is when the dancer cuddles up to the guy next to you and totally ignores you.. not cool. And whats up with dancers showing affection to older gents and totally ignoring guys in their 30s ? Easy targets ?

3. Be cautioned that you may need to tell the dancer to stop...else the "meter" continues to run and you end up shelling 60 bucks when you intended 20.

4. Tim is a cool dude.. i have seen him introduce dancers to his regulars. So they don't have to chase.

5. Don't go alone.. pair up with fellows so you can compare notes about the lap dances and becomes easier to talk to the dancers.

What's wrong with paying the dancer up front. In fact if you waive the $20 before hand, many tug out the waistband and show you the goods, exactly where he wants it put (before they move it to their sock or something). Then if the dancer wants another go, he'll ask.

Very true. He doesn't play games. That's why he's trusted and respected by dancers and clients alike. Hence Zeb Atlas appearing tonight when he could be out getting $500 an hour. And if you go tonight give Tim a hug from karl in Laredo.

Diehard, interesting points. The best advice is your #5 -- "don't go alone", for the reasons you pointed out. It would be nice to meet up with fellow posters when I'm there but I don't know how to recognize them.

As for the meter running, I always say to the dancer upfront: "Let me know when 2 songs are up and I'll let you know if I want to do more." And I usually do more if the Dancer is good, but this way there's no issue.

Hey guys, I've been to Adonis one time when I was in NY. I live near St. Louis so I don't get there much, about 1 or 2 times a year. So, I'm wondering what goes on there other than the dancers being on the floor or dancing on the stage. I used to go to the Gaiety often but never hired anyone there. I'm just curious about what happens during private dances. Please pm me with info.

THanks guys!

Does anyone know if the manager Tim still gives lap dances, or is available for private muscle worship sessions? For my money, he's always the hottest guy there...much more my type (very masculine, rugged, aggressive frat jock type) than the roided out or pretty-boy twinky dancers. I'm shy about approaching him about it, and was wondering if anyone here knew.

I heard second hand that that Tony Capucci showed, although I didn't see him. I didn't see Mike Buffaleri either. Nick German showed up, but wasn't all that impressed by him. A friend told me that XXXX aka Duke came in, scoped the place out for a few seconds and then walked out. And to think I got a new haircut that day just for him. Alas poor XXXX.... :(

Porn producer Michael Lucas showed up with a couple of hot model types in tow.

Note to Tim: At the next event, please try to have REAL cranberry juice at the bar instead of that sugary, watered down Ocean Spray cranberry juice cocktail crap. Very chintzy... Geez, for a $30 entrance fee the least you could do is have real cranberry juice. When Bozo downs a few vodka & cranberry's it would be nice to have REAL juice in his glass. Also, how about having one of the six-foot hero sandwiches WITHOUT ham? Turkey or tuna would be nice. Some of us watch our cholesterol and aren't all that fond of pig meat...... Oh, and the chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch :).

Meat VS Meat

Dearest Bozo,

When I enter any fine dining establishment, I don't expect cock, ass, abs, and biceps to be on the menu. Your culinary demands for this type of venue are more high-maintenance than Mariah Carey's pre-performance demands for fresh water flown in from an undisclosed spring. You are not paying $30 for deli-meat succulence. Grab some other meat before you show up, and then go after the meat we are really paying for. You won't find reviews for Adonis on Zagat, so relax.

I hate to repeat myself, but HERE HERE VDN!!!!!!! If you're going there for the hero and Cranberry juice there's something wrong. But I must say -- the home made M&M cookies were pretty darn good!! And so was the company as always. It was great to see some folks from this board too.
