A previous frequent poster is now in Time -Out.

can someone explain to me both what this is and its implications?

Thanks.

it's pretty self explanatory. you do something that breaks the rules and can longer post.

those who are on time out now aren't missed for their constant negativity and obsessive behaviors. it's a welcome peace and quiet.

Who is the frequent poster in question ?

No need to beat around the bush, I think. The poster in question is Glutes.

However, I have one question about it. I was perusing the Member list yesterday. And I noticed that Glutes' name is not appearing there. I do know of one other former member who is not there who has been permanently banned due to some very egregious conduct. I also know this is at least the 2nd time Glutes has been in time out here during my time here (which will be only 16 months tomorrow). Seeing the wording of the TOS above, "Posters who have violated the rules more than three times will have their usernames deactivated permanently." is Glutes merely in Time Out or will he be returning. I believe I have seen people who are Time Out still appear in the Members List. Am I correct, which may mean Glutes' has been moved to the "permanent removal" list, or is this just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill Time Out?

Actually, the description could apply to more than more poster recently sent to Time-Out.

Members on Time-Out disappear from the Member List. It appears to be a function of the software. However, it doesn't mean they have been permanently removed. Their profiles are still available through clicking on their member name in a post heading or entering their member name in the search function.

Whether some of the recent Time-Outs turn permanent, I would imagine that only Daddy and time will tell. Because some of those currently on Time-Out have been there more than 3 times.

Yeah, but . . .

So it appears that we could see, for example, "Glutes" again with the username "Maximus". True?

Not sure what I missed around here during my nearly four months away. Some health and other issues caused me to take a break from various activities for a while. It's good to be back and participating again. Whatever the issues were I hope they've died down.

Hogan's Heros: The Cooler

Someone here has to hold the fringe-radical-hypocritical Republicans and disgraced / fraudster male escorts feet to the fire!!! I will continue to do so, even if the powers that be send me to The Cooler...

The cooler is a specially made barracks building. It is created to put inside for a certain period of time, mainly 30 days, prisoners who are either disobedient or have made escape attempts, no matter whether they have been either unsuccessful or have been successful but the prisoner is later recaptured. During the series, a major plot point would have one of the prisoners sent into the cooler where he would later help with that episode's particular mission as one of the tunnels under Stalag 13 led directly into the cooler's rooms.

Nah, you're more like Steve McQueen's character in The Great Escape. You know what you're doing is going to get you in trouble but you just can't stop yourself from doing it.

Somebody get ready to pass Glutes his Baseball and Glove...

Steve stars in one of his most popular roles as American pilot Virgil Hilts aka The Cooler King, named after the amount of time he spends in the 'cooler' after repeated escape attempts and run ins with the camp commandant.

Wow Glutes. I cannot believe you were on a "timeout". I never saw a post from you that was even remotely offensive. Granted, I probably did not see all your posts, so I may have missed something out of character. Anyway, welcome back. Good to have your humor and creativity in action again.

Even on the way to The Cooler I can see smoke coming from WEHO, and it isn't just coming from the Hollywood arson fires... (nod nod wink wink N'SC)
