For those who do not know the term (Merlin2?): http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fluffer

The reason I ask is since Viagra & Cialis have emerged, has the fluffer been outsourced?

Kink Studios in SF gives tours, and no fluffers are known. You can take a tour of kink.com via news article:

Most Definitely The V & C have become the Pill of Choice for both The Working Guys in Video and his Clients Off the set!

Since most WG'S have at least 1 MD on their Reg List Prescription No problemo! ;)

As far as the Clients go their MD figures it is just time for a little "Help in the Bedroom" for the Old Geezers!

I've done a number of shoots for Kink (pun intended) including one just this past Monday in a bar. Yes, the "blue pills" provide help but over the course of a 5-hour shoot there is a need for fluffing despite the chemical assistance. There are no official fluffers on the set, but there is quite a bit of fluffing between cast members between takes. In the last one there was one guy who was particularly into sucking dick and volunteered to be a fluffer. In fact, sucking got him hard so in providing fluffer services he was able to get "fluffed" himself. It's a win-win if there ever was one :-)

As for the tours of the Armory, I'd highly recommend it. The place is amazing in it's own right as a piece of historical architecture, and the overlay of the porn studio makes it even more intriguing. Should be on every gay man's list of attractions when visiting SF!

Nate,

You could be a fluffer by just walking in the room naked with some leather--your body and sexy way would make sure there wasn't a limp dick in the house!!! I intend to make the Armory a part of my west coast visit (no date set) but I would need a HOT tour guide!!

Kink.com facility sold for $65 million.

The sale reflects not only the city’s high-flying and resilient commercial real estate market but also the decline of the pornography industry, which has seen revenues wither as much of the content that customers used to pay for is now available for free on the Internet. While for years Acworth made a killing creating and selling content for membership-based porn sites under the umbrella of Kink.com, between 2013 and 2016 the company’s membership dropped from 50,000 to 30,000, and its revenues plummeted by 50 percent.

While some Mission residents were initially skeptical about a porn producer purchasing the Armory, Acworth eventually won praise for the restoration work he did on the brick Moorish castle, which had long been empty.

Anyone know what kink.com is doing now that they aren’t making movies anymore?

Maybe Viagra made it obsolete...

Never been on a porn set but always thought fluffers were just a urban legend or myth. I figured maybe a costar or someone already in the film did it, but not people hired just to fluff

They do exist...or at least used to. Many moons ago I worked for a now gone gay porn mag, and part of my job was to help plan and set up photo shoots. I happened to there and on a few occasions was happy to lend a hand (among other things) to keep things moving.

Well...someone had to. It was not for my enjoyment...Just doing what I could for society ;)~

I knew it was here somewhere! Just found this old post I made over a decade (!) ago. Hope you'll indulge a reprise. http://www.boytoy.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

Mercí, Louis, but “Vive l’engorgement!” was actually the motto of my alma mater, l’École Technique pour le Fleuffer et la Fluffeuse Internationale. It was embroidered on the velvet kneepads presented to every graduate at the Commencement Ball.

Each year, the final exam consisted of bringing a guest volunteer to a full rampant erection, under lights identical to those used in fashion photography. The year I graduated, our special guest was J. Howard Marshall, who had just celebrated his 88th birthday, and was a willing, although quite challenging, volunteer. My, how we students huffed and puffed to earn our diplomas that year! Soon after, of course, he met Anna Nicole, and did not return the following year. I understand, however, that Hugh Heffner was an outstanding replacement, and that graduates from that year’s class are in high demand throughout the industry and worldwide.

Ah, les mémoires! :p

But how do you get an invite to one of the “public” NakedKombat shoots?
