Well Cajun, must tell you that I LOVE Thailand, Phuket really. I am calling it quites in a few months and Thailand was on my "short list' but thought that after a few months there, I would get bored.. as you said there is a shortage of the muscle boys that I love and I would think that in very short order you would come to know all of the local boys as well. Then of course there is the dreaded rainy season, and 3 times a year that long brutal flight back to the U.S. to see family, even with the occasional upgrade, it is still a tough one to take. But I do remember fondly the cheap prices and how accomodating the boys were. Everytime I fork over money in the 250 range, I think about Thailand. C'est la vie indeed.

I must be getting old (and yet I still manage to get it for free with some frequency - go figure) but $300 and up seems like an awful lot of money to pay for 60 minutes of "companionship." To me at that rate the guy better have the dick of death, f--k like a tiger, suck like a Hoover, kiss like a lover, and be able to talk current events, literature, or investment banking all at the same time - which I realize is impossible for one human unless he's using sign language since the mouth would already be engaged in earlier mentioned activities.

 

And for $350 you can get 2 hours with someone who actually IS a Tyger. And has all those other qualities you mentioned. Especially the DoD thing.

In the past I hired at the top end of the tier like this. I found out 2 things.

 

1) The guys were NO better than the ones that charged reasonable fees.

 

2) I couldn't even enjoy it because I spent the entire hour (plus the next week) being angry at myself for being stupid enough to pay someone that much.

 

Now, if I do hire someone in the high dollar category, It's usually for an overnight or longer which usually falls into the same price range the others charge anyway.

in this day and age- we get as much as we can- some guys in nYC def get 300 and they r worth it- the amount of time they take to take care of themselves- get the right pixs- and eat properly-the apts that they rent to live in an area thats convienient- it costs $ and havin met and worked with a good amount fo the 300$ boys- they r worth every cent- am i worth 300? lol- for hardcore stuff- yes and i get it- but id never charge that much for a normal date- the dude in bangcock a 300 $ date? i find it " hard to swallow"- OR there maybe more goin on that we dont no about..............

That's because you are not putting enough in your mouth to fill you up. The secret is in the portions. Remember, open wide, shove as much in as you can, swirl it around in your mouth for a minute or two, just so you can taste all those wonderful Thai flavors, then just swallow, all at once, be brave just take it and swallow everything in your mouth at one time. If done correctly you shouldn't be hungry till the following night.

I know you are joking BC, but in all seriousness, not all of us return to business as usual. these discussions often re-affirm my concern about the slow climb in prices and the quality of service that isn't going up proportionately. Sooooooooooo, I have set limits, partly because I am able to hear other guys feeling the same frustration. Before I fork over my hard earned money, I am almost positive that I will get my moneys worth. Good research and constantly asking guys in this forum there thoughts help me to keep from making mistakes.

I hope this thread will encourage all those escorts who read this and are advertising at $300+ to rethink their pricing and know that many clients will not pay that amount or even respond to their ad. I won't, and I'm glad that others are troubled by this "price creep" in what is a bad economy worldwide.

 

Yes, there are a few, who have vast resources, who will scoff at this. But, they are not the escort's bread & butter and there are not that many who are so priviliged.

 

I have met 2 or 3 laid-off, cute guys who are very glad to do a lot more for a lot less and for a longer period of time that this incredible $300.

Like Jason Carter said, maybe that's what they want? Maybe a guy just wants an extra $300 a month and that's it? Maybe they're in a relationship and have to limit themselves. Maybe they can only do outcalls and have to make up for lack of incalls with a higher rate for outcalls? The possibilities are endless.

 

Look, you do realize that there are people who think $200-250 is "too rich for their blood"? But apparently, that's normal pricing on the sites.

 

Much less, there are guys who think paying for s..."companionship" period is absurd. What are we going to do about it? Accept the situation as is? No...just hold out for people who are willing to.

 

It's hard to slag off someone's rate when we don't know who has the money to do it or why they are marketing those rates. Some clients hire once or twice a year and that's it. So they don't mind saving $25 a month (which the bank forces you to do anyway) for an hour of bliss. Maybe spending more time than that would just be too much.

 

As trite as it sounds, it goes right back to shoes, cars and other material things. Some people want to buy $300 shoes, others want to spend $30. Money is just money. It's not a non-renewable resource. I personally think spending $4 for a bottle of water is too much, when there's water trickling down the mountain ice cold for free.

Most of those include meal time, a couple of hours of sex, say $300 an hour for 3 hours and $600 for 8 hours of sleeping next to a warm body you may be able to snuggle a bit. That said are reviews posted for those that pay it and pay the $300-350 an hour so there are those who are paying it. so I say if a guy can get it he might as well charge for it, but find these rates are more prevalent in NY. Those rates won't cut it in the Midwest. Guys fly into Chicago from NY with those big NY rates, first time in they may or may not get them but return visits less likely as the novelty wears off. So as most things go around here, NY is where this issue arises the rest of us mainly $200 /hr and $800-900 on average for an overnight.

recently I went to , 'client friendly' rate of 150 for the hour and $250 for two hours and the results have been fantastic. the 2 hour 250 thing is the best thing I have ever done. client does not feel rushed at all and he also is not worried about being overcharged so he can relax better. http://www.rentboy.com/mikey9nola1

 

I can understand escorts NOT wanting to advertise lower rates because it makes it look as though they are on the SALE rack and are not worth their original price since noone is paying it. From what I've heard, some escorts prefer to negotiate a lower price "in private"

I definitely agree here. I usually hire for 90 minutes or 2 hours because I like to spend some time just chatting and getting comfortable before the action, and then I like to spend some time cuddling and winding down after. But I expect that second hour to be discounted - don't think I would ever pay 'full' rates for extra time. And no one has ever objected to this.

Bart I am with you...NEVER understood 1500 to sleep next to a warm body or just to snuggle and have some small chit chat. And you are right, you have to add dinner and cab fare. I am lost. I got a little dog, Roxy..after I send these guys on there way, she will cuddle and is a warm body. Never had to pay her $1500.
