Okay guys, I'm probably the only one who doesn't know this, but I see a lot of descriptions where guys say that they are an "oral top". Can anyone explain what that means? Does it mean:

 

(a) they are a top when it comes to anal sex, but when it comes to oral, they like to give oral to the other guy (i.e., they are more bottom with respect to oral); or

 

(b) they are only a top when it comes to oral (i.e., they like to receive oral) and are either not interested in anal at all or just not revealing their position when it comes to anal.

 

It might mean something specific in an escort ad, but I'm asking about any non-pro guy who might describe himself that way. Thanks.

I believe deej has made the correct call here. It could easily be either of your definitions. The only way one can be certain is to ask. In all ones dealing with escorts -- when in doubt ALWAYS ask. Take NOTHING for granite. It is always better to ask early rather than be disappointed later.

I always assumed that the term "Oral Top" indicated a guy who received oral... and was a phrase that only referenced his oral preferences as opposed to his anal preferences, or for that matter any other activities in which he would partake such as WS, BDSM, etc. However, I guess when one begins to hyper-analyze these sorts of things it can quite possibly mean different things to different people. "Oral top" is definitely open to interpretation, as we see here, and to know if the guy means "an anal top who likes giving/receiving oral sex" or "an anal top who only receives blow jobs," you simply have to ask for a clarification.

Let's see... that would put the other guy on top but he would not be doing the oral... You would be on the bottom... or at least under him and you would be doing the oral... If one were to take the square root of the hypotenuse of the angle that the top guy's cock would create in relation to the angle of your lower body with his upper body then that would yield a result that would mean that the guy actually on top would be the definite oral top. However, if the positions were reversed so that the person doing the oral was actually going down and not up then one would have to divide the result of the previous mathematical function by the square root of 69 to get the proper quotient... and even though the top guy was on the bottom he would still be considered to be on top even though he was not on top but on the bottom... Unless of course both guys were doing the oral then the math would yield a straight 69... well not actually a straight 69... but 69 nonetheless.
