Name the most romantic thing that somebody has ever done for you.

 

For me, I had been dating a guy once for a few months and was going to stay in Saugatuck, Michigan for the weekend. He asked me where I was going for the weekend and I said Saugatuck and thought nothing more of it. I arrived at the hotel on Friday. There was a knock at my door EARLY on Saturday morning...and I opened the door to a delivery guy who brought me a box with 12 long-stemmed red roses from the guy I had been dating. He didn't know where I was staying (although there is some limited options in the town so to speak) but he took the initiative to find out where I was and made the arrangements for the flowers. I will never ever forget him or that moment.

I didnt really think of him as a trick. the 2 night was spent talking, watching movies late into the night. cuddling but we didn't have sex. He asked me during one of our prior conversations about flowers and I said I liked white roses, I don't care for red

I had a vacation planned in California with an escort I had never spent time with. He arrived at the resort bringing natural floral arrangements (which we both love) for the room. We scurried around finding a couple of vases and placing the arrangements. Talk about "breaking the ice", it was mellow, fun, and so romantic. To top that off, he also brought two small "gifts" which were representative of two very important aspects of my life.

I don't remember anyone ever being this gallant and thoughtful in my life. This romantic memory will stay with me forever!!

When my wife was undergoing chemotherapy, she would go to bed early each night, sometimes before i was home from work and sometime after I was asleep, she would awaken, make me a bag lunch and then go back to sleep. She never made me bag lunches at any other time during the years we were together. When i asked her about it, she said that although we were not spending a lot of time together because she was ill and tired that she made the lunches to tell me that when she was awake, she was thinking about me. I can barely look at a ham and cheese sandwich without getting teary-eyed.

Both parents, 5 aunts, 3 uncles, and a close friend all died within one very long and bad year. In addition to showing up for every funeral, on the anniversary of my parents death, I woke up to a beautiful card from my friend offering thanks to my parents for bringing me into the world and the joy of our friendship. He had planted my favorite rose bush in my yard in their honor. He remains my best friend and one hell of a romantic.
