I'm going to read more. I realized that I don't need to watch the same reruns of HouseHunters at the end of every day and need to catch up on a mystery, biography, or sports book that is gathering dust on in the bookcase.

too lose the 20lbs iv gained since late 09

Well, I am with you Joseph.... I have resolved to lose weight, get my diabetes under control, get in insulin pump, and learn to be a little more secure in myself with the help of a few of my friends from here, including my life coach and my boy.... :)

Get in the best shape possible for a 137 year old man. :) At least it feels like it's that old.

It seems like it was just yesterday when dirt was invented. I remember. It was a couple of weeks after we discovered how to make fire ..... :)

It's been tough controlling the weight since late 09, When i was giving massage that burned allot of calories on top of that I did 45 minutes to 1hr day on an elliptical machine. Soon as I moved back to Athens I went from 6'4 190lbs to 210lbs in a few months. only reason it hasn't gone higher is due to walking 4 miles aday. Due To having MS I can't really do any type of weight training.

Are you planning to lose the weight with diet or increasing your daily walks? I got a personal trainer to come once a week and I am getting one of the xbox 360 kinects and starting the biggest lose series on xbox

diet and increasing the walk from 4 miles aday to 6. I was drinking allot of soda each day sometimes a 2 liter bottle a day. Never smoked and have never drinked Alcohol in my life. Soda was always my little vice. But few months ago I gave up the 2 liter and dropped down to a 16 0z bottle aday. A huge reduction without giving it up completely.

for years I was under weight. in high school i was 6'4 and weighed in at 165lbs. It was horrible my mother took me to a number of doctors. everyone said i had a high metabolism. I didn't start putting any weight on until about the age of 22. Iv been as low as 165 and as much as 230. 230 didn't last long i was miserable. I managed to get my weight to 190 in 1999 and it stayed there until late 2009 Iv been over weight and under and people can be just as cruel and mean to you under either circumstances. I let it and the MS have allot of power over me I haven't been on a date in over 18 months

I'm sorry to hear that Joseph, but I am glad to hear that you seem to have atleast got a handle and kicked the pop habit or atleast decease it dramatically. I know so many, including a few other diabetic, who drink large amounts of soda and I dont mean diet soda. Are you planning to start dating again once you get back your ideal 190? Sorry if this is too personal, but are you on any treatments currently for the MS

I have too inject myself daily for the MS. I think I have Allot of self essteem issues surounding it. Looking at me you can't tell that I have it but I know that could change someday.

Few years ao I was dating This guy at the time I found out I had colon cancer, Had to do chemo. Found out he was cheating the whole time I was dealing with that.. After that i never really seriously dated anyone.

I can understand the trials of daily injection since I give myself between 6 and 8 injections a day. Sorry to hear that your ex did to you.... that is special kinda low to that to someone going though colon cancer. But I can definately sympathize with the self esteem issues as well...

I hate needles too. i use to say that i hope i never get diabetes i could never do the shots or prick my finger. Then I got MS. I still can't give myself a shot manually. I use a autoject device.

I have learned quickly how to give my shots so that I dont feel them. I am trying to get an insulin pump so I only have to stick myself every 3 days

My new year's resolution is small, and will remain nameless but his initials are Brandon Williams.

Very suttle resolution, but sounds like a good one, Deej... :p

Does the anonymous, nameless Brandon Williams have a clone in NYC?

Hmmm....not to my knowledge, but I can often be seen gliding about the streets of one of my favorite cities. Maybe you've spotted me at the gym or shopping for elf shoes in SoHo? Although, I do generally prefer to grab my efl shoes at Century21...killer deals. But if you do see me, please stop me and say hello; I always welcome a new friend. I'll be around in January.

1. Not necessarily trying to lose weight, but I want to get back to eating more fruits and vegetables. I like them; I've just gotten lax. To that end, I have a fresh squash and fresh zucchini ready to steam for lunch later today.

2. Take a really good trip this year.

3. Doing some household organizing.
