If I post a article from The Advocate about a 'gay for pay' murder warrant, will I get in trouble from Hoovillians or the moderators?

There have been other posts about this, but they were closed because it was considered 'gossip'?

I don't want to get into something that is verboten...

Boy, there is something chilling about those mug shots of both Andrews and the female prostitute. I know such photos are never flattering but despite their good looks, there is something definitely ugly about their staring faces.

When I spent my winters in South Florida in the early part of the decade, there were several murders such as this of older gay men in their own houses by such types. I used to drop by a bar in Ft Lauderdale from time to time and one of the regulars was done in that way. We all sat around and watched the news on the TV above the bar where he had sat a few days earlier. A real reality check!

Places like Florida and California seem to attract this kind of incident, maybe I am being unfair but there is something of the serpent in Eden at play, I believe. Just my opinion.

I hope it doesn't happen to any of us.. :)

I'd argue that posting this, and linking to a photo of 'Addison', is helpful. He's been named in a police investigation into the murder of an older gay man. It's been reported that police are searching for him.

Since 'Addison' worked as "gay for pay", it's not unrealistic to suppose that whichever city he's fled to, he may resort to the gay scene to get money or assistance.

Thank you musclelover, it was my intent. Someone has committed a capital crime!

I was only teasing ArVaGuy about my getting in Dutch. (Some people are soooo sensitive here...)

I agree...it makes sense to share this kind of information just in case. We all have to remember when we invite guys into our home that there is a risk. 99.999 percent of the time it is probably fine, but the .001 percent is often very bad

As far as I'm concerned, the story meets our standards and finally links his real name to his stage name.

Their photo use is unfortunate. The mugshot they've used is from his previous shoplifting arrest, but their use leaves the impression that he's already been arrested for the murder. Using the word "allegedly" in the headline will have roughly the same effect as when Kathy Griffin uses it (for the same purpose).

Any lawyer in the room (or Lindsay Lohan) can tell you that arrest warrants don't always lead to arrests or charges. Let's leave this as accused and wanted, not arrested and convicted unless that comes to pass.

He had the dead's person credit card when he was arrested and they let him go?

I was reading about this -apparantely there were a series of murders of older gay men who hire in Italy a few years ago.

It is, indeed, a cautionary tale. During a couple of otherwise satisfying encounters, I've observed flashes of anger from the working boys. Very disconcerting.
