Well, in retrospect a lawyer who has had experience evading the law… whether it be for himself or any family members might be a good bet after all..

The only kind to have!

Plus, your lawyer needs to have something heavy on the local sheriff. And of course that good gentleman's understanding of the situation must not go unrewarded, in kind or otherwise. :)

I watched these contredanses go on in Piedmont N.C. as the prized substance shifted from moonshine to marijuana. Which grows happily between the rows of corn, which happen to provide excellent visual cover.

My pappy always loved his clients best.

My granny always said she disapproved of moonshinin. It wasn't legal, y'know.

But as long as someone had already DONE it, she'd have a snort.

AS-

Obviously, you only lived "near" the woods or your sheriff would have had to ask the "boss" if it was OK to arrest any malefactor in that part of the world. I ran across this mentality when doing business north of MEM. My customer said when there was a crime committed in town, the sherriff called ahead and asked it was OK to go into the "area" and arrest anyone for this crime. After the answer being, "yes", he would go into the area and the perp would meekly be there waiting upon the sherriff, but only because protocol was observed.

Best regards,

Nothing secret here!

The secret lies in HOW you do it.

For that info, PM me on where to send the certified check or money order. :D

Well, I think that was how it worked.

My second cousin (the moonshiner-turned-pot-farmer) found his wife an inconvenience, did her in, threw her in the pond. She was known by all and sundry to be missing for three days. But only on the fourth day, when her body floated to the top, did my cousin call the sheriff. Who, in turn, duly recorded his statement that the husband last saw her the night before, and that she must have committed suicide during the night. Despite the fact that bodies don't float after just 12 hours.

Whom do you think the "boss" was, thereabouts?

No point in the high sheriff sticking his nose in your family's personal affairs, AS. It's not like your cousin was thieving his neighbor's farm chemicals!

No worries whipped. Why do you think im an attorney in NY with two half Sicilian kids. Uncle Vito has been a client for years. LOL.

Cazzo! Siamo cugini!!! (Shoot! [very loose translation] We're Cousins!)

And they think that sort of thing only happens in the hills of West Virginy where every body is related to each other and then some!!!

Exactly. Nor his chickens. "A purely internal affair," as the international diplomats put it.

Just as, a few years ago, there was a minor drug shooting outside my condo in downtown Boston. But the two guys aimed well, kept it between themselves, so the neighborhood shrugged and went on its way.

Monday, July 5th

1. Beautiful weather here in Boston. Third day in a row in the sun for a bit of colour.

2. The most delicious supper of italian salamis, etc, with cheeses and chanpagne. Followed by margaritas which has me quite buzzed.

3. Wild thoughts and memories of my time with an escort last week and One that is headed to Boston to see me....Hot with a new batch of BDSM experiences on the way, from a beautiful, hot escort. I am so lucky.

Right this moment, I'm grateful for...

1. Super-Sexy pizza delivery guy who just delivered piping-hot Chicago-style deep dish pizza.

2. White Sox Baseball (they're beating the Angels 7 to 1 right now--top of the 8th)

3. Sleeping in my own comfy bed tonight after three nights away from home. Yea!

Three things for which I am grateful today

1 Airconditioning which made today bearable

2 Leftovers

3 That the bone Bonehead swallowed whole does not seem to have done him any harm. Darn dog had me tossing and turning all night worrying that something might happen to him during the night,.

As a separate question, how do parents do it. My dogs have me in a turmoil when concerned about them, s0 I can't imagine how parents do it?

I agree that last year of spencers life i fell apart on a daily bases. every morning when i had to give him those meds id fall all to pieces. when i had him put to sleep in october i was a wreck for months, then june 25th would have been his 11th birthday and i relived being upset all over again.. I would never deal well with having a child hurt or sick..

Yes, Your love of your pets prove you could do it...

It may seem like it is not the same thing, but it is....As with any loved one..you take the good with the bad and enjoy/remember it all because you love them and are capable of that love....Children are no more difficult or no more challenging than a loved pet...It is the love that makes it what it is, not the object of the love...We all do the best we can as human beings and it is enough, even though it never feels like enough.

You guys show tremendous love and responsibility....what mere could you need.

Yeah, she was a hoot. Used to babysit on New Year's Eve so the folks could go kick up their heels until they figured out she was taking me bar hopping and we were hitting the same places as them 10 minutes later.

I loved my grammy. She was a good time.

joe if you are not feeling well, sometimes a companion animal will force you do deal with routine things and keep you motivated Consider getting another pet or at least fostering a dog or cat until it can find a home. You may save it for some other loving family

if I ever got a dog again id have too keep it. I become very attached too things. I had a friend that use to foster dogs until they found a home, id end up with a house full because i could never give them up lol once as a child i had 9 out door dogs at once I took home every stray i came across. I got my very first dog when i was 3 years old she lived too be 13, my next dog lived to be 10, then spencer lived too be 10, but none of their deaths affected me as much as his. I think with him it was because i worked from home and he didnt go a day without me.
