After intense negotiations today with Daddy, our lawyers have negotiated the development of a new forum, as requested by several of us. It would be devoted to the discussion of theater, movies, and books. Stay tuned for further information.

An Arts Forum...

It would be devoted to the discussion of theater, movies, and books.
Hopefully it will be considered an "Arts Forum" and I would assume that "theater" would include not only musical theater but opera as well... and hopefully the more "elevated" styles of music would also be included. If such is the case it certainly sounds like a great idea... and hopefully it won't be relegated to the "dungeon section" with the Fetish Forum.

Well, we'll see what people want, but I can say now that television will not be included unless it is a special of artistic merit.

Maybe Lucky finally broke down and agreed to act as moderator for the Arts Forum.

That is fun a new A&E forum.... I know I would be interested in reviews/previews that Lucky might have for us :-)

Oh I LOVE it.

I can't wait.

If you thought the guys over in the Politics, Religion and War forum could be bellicose, just wait 'til you get two operaqueeens flaming (as opposed to "two flaming operaqueens" which is redundant).

Let the games begin . . . .

oh my

That's hot. We get to see Lucky in action as THE moderator. I'm so happy. I promise to follow your rules our moderator Lucky! :)

He did, but for the one forum only. I want to remain my usual self!

This is a great concept. I would see the arts as including theatre, musicals, opera, classical music, film, literature, dance/ballet and well art (painting, sculpture, photography etc), but not television or pop music.

Lucky, at the risk of your hats never fitting again, I have to say that I've had the honor of meeting on several occasions and the continuing pleasure of delighting in the seeming omniscience of your intellect. Hell, I frequently check your posting here to see what (besides the crossword) I should look for in my NY Times. I can't think of anyone in these forums who is more suited to the task. But lurk around http://parterre.com/2010/03/26/cher-public-dellabisso-affrettati/and you'll discover how other worldly these queens can become.

During the discussion between Lucky and Daddy, I wanted to ask whether Madonna videos would be included, but I decided to hold my tongue. I suspect that subsequent boundary negotiations will make Israeli-Palestinian discussions look easy.

IN gratitude

This is wonderful, just wonderful news. My thanks to you and Charlie for successfully working on behalf of everyone who requested this forum.

I can take no credit for this, because the talks were held and preliminary agreements signed before I arrived at the negotiating table, at Denny's. I think it is a brilliant idea, however, since so many have immediately responded with delight.

Lucky, Many thanks for getting the new forum approved. I look forward to reading the opinions of a diverse group of individuals. I would agree that televison should not be part of this forum and also agree that opera and musical performance should be included.

I'm tending to agree with Mark Gordon. We have some time to work it out, and we can always adjust as needed once it starts.

But I am happy that so many of you are happy to see this happen.

Yes! There will be flames of Wagnerian proportions… and just to get the preliminaries started I’m in the Callas camp...

My guess is that the moderator of the forum might lack Cooper's skills in diplomacy...but disagreement is fun, I mean, who wants to agree on everything?

(I wonder if Cooper holds a moderators school...!)

Lucky, Thank you for arranging this. "Lucky's Spring Theater Choices" is on its 6th page, that is a clear indication that we want to discuss the Arts. There have been messages that included comments on Painters, Ballet, and Modern Dance, sprinkled through the Theater discussion. I'm sure the discussion will be spirited, and I expect that I will learn a great deal.

Denny's Agreement?

Was it signed in grease?
