How can we, as a community, conquer the pervasive practice of escorts using BS photos?

Photoshopped, backdated or just the outward use of some else's pics is becoming very frustrating. Hell, I could market myself as a 21 year old surfer boy...

Hovillians?

Funny that you posed this question when you did. A few weeks ago I ran across an enticing escort ad, but one of the pictures looked familiar. The next day, I was looking at a dudesnude profile and there was the same picture. The dudesnude guy is not an escort. I've chatted with him in the past and know that it is his, not the escort's, picture. So, I told him. He contacted the escort and that picture is now gone.

In answer to your question, if you hire a guy and he does not match his pictures, turn him away and tell him why you are doing so. If enough people do that, he will either post current/accurate/his own pictures or find a different line of work. Aside from that, I suppose we could all send e-mails to the guy calling him on his fake pics.

Why rely on pics?

A pic is just a snapshot in time. I state in all of my ads that I am happy to verify my appearance on webcam before meeting. New clients frequently take me up on this. Sure, I get a few wankers who think they're in for a free camshow, but they get dispatched and blocked quickly. Likewise, in my private life, I am reluctant to hook-up online without webcamming.

For me at least the order of events is pics, written ad, reviews, contact. If everything fits, then we get together. Pics are important because that's what attracted me in the first place. It hasn't happened to me, but I would be really put off if the escort didn't look like his pics.

Looks like Baby Kim & the North Korean crowd are learning from some of our unscrupulous escorts and masseurs...

Analysts who have studied photos of a half-dozen ominous new North Korean missiles showcased recently at a lavish military parade say they were fakes, and not very convincing ones, casting further doubt on the country's claims of military prowess.

I agree with the OP. Thats one reason i like to hire porn actors cuz at least i know what they look like ahead of time. One thing that gets me is escorts that wont show you a face pic, only a body pic. I will never hire an escort that wont show me a face pic cuz for me, looks are a big part of what will attract me, so not seeing a face pic will definetely make me skip over their ad entirely.

What are some best resources for hiring porn actors? Some escorts

claim they are porn starts in "Rentboy" but aren't.

Everybody should be familiar with reverse image searching using "Google Image." There

are also a few other free services that do this.

In case this bears repeating, this guy, when doing a reverse image search....

....also appear all over the internet, raising doubts as to whether he is using

borrowed photos.

Mark,

Providing a webcam conversation is a great idea.

Those few escorts I've encountered who are refuse to show their headshots give variety of excuses, the most common of which is a need to maintain privacy. The underlying reason given for the need for privacy is their concern about being known for their escorting in some other sphere of life. I wonder if providing a webcam interview would also be considered "revealing their identity," even if they don't talk about escorting or talk about anything more mundane than a social call. Your approach is fantastic, and I wonder if you could comment further on how it might be applied more broadly when privacy is given as the chief concern.

Best,

Anyone who uses an online dating site — Tinder, Bumble and the rest — quickly learns that people don’t always look like their photos, they sometimes add an inch or two to their height and maybe they fudge their weight. One study found that 80 percent of people lie in their profiles. Many falsehoods are mild, easy to see through within seconds of meeting someone in person and do little harm.

But other lies are more dangerous: They become instruments of sexual fraud. A 44-year-old woman in Britain, for example, fell in love with a man who told her he was a single businessman who often traveled for work. A year later, she learned that he was a married London lawyer using a fake name to sleep with several other women whom he had apparently tricked in the same way.
