It looks like we will top out at 22 people for the dinner and show on Saturday night, with several more coming by on Sunday for Oliver's pool event as well. It'll be our biggest crowd yet. You will have ask the attendees who or if they are bringing someone as a guest, since I cannot speak for them.

 

Since I bought 24 tickets for the show, I have two left. If no one here claims them by March 1st, then I have two local friends happy to take them off my hands and get that group rate.

Well, the calendar has rolled over to the month of my west coast vacation. YAY! So when are we going to get the agenda/itinerary of our weekend fun??? I guess I will need to know the times and addresses of the events. I am sooooo ready to escape the winter cold/work blahs and enjoy southern california again.

 

Also, I have snagged a socal hottie to keep me company for the weekend. I am one lucky feller! I am all set! Now just gotta make it through these next 3 work weeks

Rumor has reached me as to whom your date is, and I am thrilled. I made someone an offer myself. Oliver has created a list of select escorts who will be invited to come to the pool event. Obviously several other escorts will be there as guests of Hooville posters. We are settled at about 22 people for the dinner and theater. A friend of mine has been cast in The Ritz, and he is a very good actor, so I expect a good show. (He wouldn't stand for less.)

Elmer, perhaps you should NOT have alluded to AJ in reference to this most recent horrendous tragedy! Other symbols and/or allusions would have been MUCH MORE appropriate! After all some of us are keenly sensitive to acute problems and tragedies of our world!!!!!!

I didn't get to the dinner or the Follies, but I did go to Oliver's legendary "pool event." This is becoming a prelude to the famous White Party, without the sex and drugs (I think). There were several new attendees, and well as most of the regulars (we really missed you, jackhammer!). I enjoyed discussing weighty topics with some of the older gentlemen, while the charming youths gamboled entertainingly in the pool. Lucky's military presence presided over affairs, Epigonos made sure the troops were fed, and Oliver rivaled Perle Mesta (but don't call him "Madam") in providing the social oil that keeps things running smoothly in Escortland. Only the weather failed to behave, after taunting us for two weeks beforehand with sunny skies and high temperatures. Even so, it was probably the best Hooville Weekend ever.

I'm not so sure that a little disaster humor is altogether a bad thing. It's one of the mechanisms we use to put a bit of mental distance between ourselves and scary events.
