Same here. Of several different brands, that one makes me feel the least like I'm about to have a stroke.

 

But I've stopped using any kind. As the years piled on, I eventually noticed that it numbs my cock to an annoying degree.

I've tried most of the brands (with varying results)...A client in Palm Springs offered me the first hit off of a bottle of "Blue Boy" brand once..AMAZING!

Definitely TRUE as Charlie says! Amyl Nitrate even came in First Aid Kits sold in Drug Stores! There was a time in NYC at Bars where you could get a Box of 12 "Snappers" for $8.00

 

But alas' those days are long gone and doing what is now called "Poppers" with very erratic effects in Combo with Viagra Etc is considered Dangerous to your Health!

One can buy poppers on line from, I think, http://www.popperMART.com. This firm provides the entire gamut of product, but there "aint" nothing around now like amyl nitrate. I had some superhot experiences while taking a few hits of amyl as well as taking a few puffs from 420. That was indeed "Back-in-the-day and was indeed quite euphoric!" I still remember!

 

Today I might sniff some, but I'm particular about the brand. Recently I've used JUNGLE JUICE PLATIMUM; it's rather good in the beginning!

 

Today's version of poppers (overall) is not too great. When one open's the bottle-- let it breathe for a while--then sniff, it's great at this one time, but afterwards the whole "bottle experience" is quite vapid.

 

REMINDER: DON'T do poppers and viagra together; this is purportedly FATAL or an invitation for a HEART A TTACK!

I think that amyl nitrate was medically used to revive people who had fainted. They were first called "poppers" because the amyl nitrate came in a small glass vial surrounded by cotton and a sort of netting to keep it all together. You pressed the thing until the glass vial broke making a popping sound. The amyl nitrate would then soak the cotton and if you were on the dance floor, everybody around would take a hit. If you were in bed with someone, it would totally take you to another level of exctasy! Later on, special inhalers came on the market so the amyl would not evaporate so rapidly. Ah, the good ole days!

Headache is common side effect of all nitrates including Amyl and nitroglycerin which in pill form gives you a headache and in tube form can give you a splitting headache

I like Jungle Juice Black Label, but only the ones I buy from Fort Troff. I tried KUM and FIST, but they are both expensive and not very potent.

I had similar experience - every time I've tried them (3-4 times?), they gave me a splitting headache immediately! (Tho fortunately, it only lasted a short time.)

Personally, I think that Man Scent (the square bottle) which I get in Amsterdam are the strongest poppers I ever had.

Those are the only types I can handle, probably because of that very reason (the less potent factor, not the expensive factor!).

I have never tried any. I am really bothered by the smell the few times that I have been with someone who have used them while I had sex with.

For some bizarre reason it's a turn off for me.

 

About a year ago I met a guy on Manhunt, went to his place, he was hot as hell and we really clicked and had fantastic sex. He used poppers 4-5 times during sex.

 

A week later we decided to hook up again, I asked him if it wasn't a problem for him not to use poppers, he was a bit reluctant at first but then told me was fine with that.

This brand can be purchased in the States at http://www.poppermart.com. I've done this one in recent weeks and did not like it after a while. Seemingly the potency dissipates much too, too rapidly for me!

A small price to pay at that time for the "Rush" I did get from them!

 

I'm guessing that is why RUSH was a popular Name Brand for the imitator to follow.

Days gone by - almost

 

Axiom tells it like it was for those of you to young to remember. I can easily remember the little glass viles and the metal inhalers that you put the capsuls in. During the "disco days" (that should set the time frame) many of the leather bars in San Francisco had small leather shops where they would sell for $5 an "underground" version of amyl-nitrate called "brown bottle". It was in the distinctive little bottles without any lable. It was some really good stuff. You can find similar quality as a "behind the counter" brown bottle at Mr.S - just ask any clerk - wink wink! Just use sparingly for best results and fewer headaches.

Side note - they used to blow amyl-nitrate through the air-conditioning system at Studio 54 in NY to enhance the dancing. Those were the days!
