My neighbor's dog Sam told me to bump this. He said he was talking with David Berkowitz and when Sam told David this same thing, David thought Sam was telling him to bump people off. That David, what a card. Haven't seen him around lately.

Unfortunately IMHO..your "Son of Sam" Ref is wasted on those outside of NYC unless they watch the Serial Killer Chanel! ;)

This strikes me as the best place to post an article about the intimate mutuality of the relationship that has evolved between dogs and humans. It's a bump and a link on one post. Some of the points are old hat but many are new to me. Did you know that humans and dogs are the only critters that are hardwired to understand the meaning of a pointed finger?

 

:D Quote the researcher (tongue in cheek?): The biggest challenge to the new experiments, Hare says, will be not the giant pack of dogs he'll be studying but their anxious owners. "When a puppy does badly, people get upset," says Hare. "You have to emphasize that this is not the SATs."
