I think I've figured out why these nuts who call up at 6:49am and tell

me that they need me to come over ASAP and that they would even willing to come and get me;

1) THEY ARE NOT REGULAR CUSTOMERS OF ESCORTS, and don't know the protocol

or

2) THEY ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF SOME SUBSTANCE

This guy called up this morning told me this and I said no....and he persisted with trying to get me out of bed at 6:50 am to come over...

I've always found that desperation is a sign of something bad.

Derrick...

I found out very early on that if you are going to do this full time you need to have some set hours and advertise them. Plus, my pager is linked directly to my regular phone/voicemail and is set to page me

9am-midnight. I also turn the ringer off around midnight and turn it back on when I get up in the morning. Of course there can be exceptions to this if a client sets up an early or late appt. in advance. I don't even bother to call back those guys who call in the middle of the night. This all helps to avoid as much frustration as possible and hopefully maintain some sanity.;-)

6:50 a.m.!

I thought the rule was you can only have morning sex with a guy if you spent the night with him.

The second amazing thing was Derrick answering his pager at that early hour. Short of it being a family member no page that early can be good.

Derrick, please note the correct use of the word 'there' and 'their'

there (adverb) : in or at that place <stand over there> — often used interjectionally; (adjective) : — used for emphasis especially after a demonstrative pronoun or a noun modified by a demonstrative adjective <those men there can tell you>; (noun)that place or position <there is no here and no there… in pure space —James Ward>

2 : that point <you take it from there>; pronoun : — used as a function word to introduce a sentence or clause <there shall come a time> 2 : — used as an indefinite substitute for a name <hi there>

their (adjective): of or relating to them or themselves especially as possessors, agents, or objects of an action <their furniture> <their verses> <their being seen>

Thanks,

Neal

Actually, the only early AM legitimate calls I've had have been family or friend disasters, such as a friend who was stabbed or a family member taken to the ER needing emergency surgery.

but, what is a guy to do that really needs to see an escort quick? are no escorts interested in a meeting on short notice? maybe 6 in the morning is early for some guys, but not for others. and emergencies can happen at any hour. shouldn't a client be able to attempt to make an emergency appointment if he wants one? it's up to the escort to be available or not.

2AM is a really horrible time to be looking for an escort or a masseur if you don't already have some information on him. I do hate to wake up at bar closing only to be rejected by somebody (or to have to reject them because they are drunk). However, many people, like myself, can train themselves to only partially wake up to talk with someone and only come fully awake if it looks like serious business. (I've also been blessed in that I can usually go back to sleep easily.) (And of course, there were times when I wondered if I had just dreamed that phone call or if it actually happened. Thank goodness for caller ID. It sometimes reassured me that yes, I did have to get up and throw the sheets on the table.) I always found that much preferable to missing out on a family emergency, etc. And, believe it or not, there are legitimate reasons. I have had several regulars who were at the bars because they were bartenders, for example. Or someone has been having an impossible time trying to go to sleep because of muscle pain or bad news that they thought, incorrectly, that they could wait until morning to have a soothing touch help chase it away. Any more, now that I am a Daddy Bear, I do usually advertise my hours, but I used to run many an ad that called myself "the insomniac's friend."

I used to have the no calls after midnight and no "partiers." Found that it helped business when I dropped that rule. Like the last poster, when someone's serious, I can wake up like it's morning I've had a full 8 hours. The funny thing is that this week I feel like I've gotten more than my share of late night clowns and as always it's about money. They balk at my rate of $200 - which it's always been late at night.

One guy, upon hearing my rate said "Oh, I was just wondering!" At 3AM!!

Still, there are some guys that are just totally horned up and didn't find anyone int he chat rooms, bless their hearts!

Dan - I didn't mean to say that I don't wake up like gangbusters myself, when I am finally assured that it is worth it. Sorry I gave you that impression. I merely wanted to describe what it is feels like to me until I am convinced that a call is legitimately hiring me. I am a trained actor and if I don't want someone who's full of bar smoke to know that I'm not fully awake until he's real, he usually doesn't notice. I even had one person call me middle of the night once to see if I am always as happy as I seem to be onstage and he told me he was going away with the impression that I was.

Only reason I don't do "partiers" is that I am very sensitive to the drugs and french kissing can give me just enough of them to get the willies.

BewareofNick (Internet Grammar Police):

You must have a field day with what escorts do to the English

language. I recently got email that included the line

"Also remember you are hiring me for my time, whatever happens

is between to consenting adult."

This was in what looked like a canned response, so the author

probably couldn't use the excuse of being sloppy in composing

an individual, ephemeral piece of email. But the best part is,

this (and other errors) came from a $350 escort who advertises

himself as "smart".

jerseyguy,

We are talking about a date with an escort here, not life-saving medical treatment in a hospital emergency room. Why would anyone need an "emergency appointment"? Sudden, terminal case of blue balls?

Give these guys a break. They're only human and have to sleep sometime.

The escort can't be too stupid if he gets people to pay him $350 for sex!

If he gets it. $350 is what he asks.

He must be like the "Legitimate, Gorgeous escort" in the e-mail section that has a doctorate in cosmotology. I must concur with Lucky as well. If he can get $350/hr, he isn't that dumb....

How old-fashioned of me, to think of intelligence

in terms of more than just an ability to separate

people from their money.

Funny about escorts in the 350 plus range. I chatted with some 19 year old on aol the other night. Sent his pic, and he was decent looking. He said his rate is $450/hr. I replied, that is the highest amount I have heard for an escort anywhere. Someone like Talvin DiMacchio charges less than that, and he is someone I would consider handing over such large sums.

He said he doesn't care about the others, he knows he is "upscale" and worth the money. I said ok...... how about we do a dinner and then meet at a hotel. I cannot have people at my place due to family life. He cannot have in calls as lives with folks in Hayward (which is like saying you live in Elizabeth NJ, Cicero, IL, Compton, CA).

He agreed and liked idea of dinner before. I told him since he is upscale, I'd like him to select the restaurant and suggest a hotel. I am new to town, and not familiar to SF. He couldn't even suggest a place to save his life. (I would think he would have some idea).

Also, I asked that he meet me at the restaurant, and please wear a shirt and tie. Since I was coming from a board meeting, in a suit, I wanted him to be dressed somewhat professionally.

He said he will be dressed ok, not to worry. He has a sweater that is nice. I agreed to pay two hours...450 for the first hour, plus bit less for second. Was I wrong to expect a very high priced escort to wear a tie and jacket to a nice restaurant??? I didn't continue with him, as was obvious he was a fake, or really clueless. Just wondering what is the protical for asking a guy to dress up.

This should have been the first clue - probably was only familiar with fast food chains.

And this would be with or without the baseball cap?

The kid has no idea how lucky he was to find a client that would agree to such outragous rates for a totally untried escort. Bet he had never been hired before, let alone reviewed.

So typical of the youth of today - he needs a total reality check!
