Montreal Update

 

 

Taboo opened last night and quickly reassumes its spot as the best Strip Club in the world at least for Twinks.

 

The Club has new floors, sound, lights. stage with Pole. The only thing not finished are the petitions in the back room. They are slated for later this week.

 

Dancing last night, Damian, Roberto, Pierre_Luc, Francis, Yannick, Ghislain, Chris and at least 6 others.

 

The place was packed at 815pm and still full when I left at 1030pm. Not bad for a Monday. There were a lot of new faces as well as the old. Many younger guys in the crowd also. All the waiters and Batenders have returned.

 

I know it's cold outside but inside it is Hotter then ever!!!!

Spoke to a few of the dancers on the phone to wish them well just before the Taboo opening. They were SOOOO excited. It was like they were going home for Xmas!

 

Truly a special place in my opinion. I am just sad I can't there sooner than 2004!

Hi guys,

 

Just a quick update about Taboo. I normally wouldn't post in here because I don't feel it's a place for escorts, but I was asked to update in order to satiate curiousity.

 

The club was redisgned slightly, although with the space there's not much they can do. The DJ booth has been moved to next to the stage, leaving a bit more room for seating. The stage is a bit smaller, more narrow, and then entire back wall is a mirror. There's also a pole on the stage, however it didn't look very sturdy! The lighting was changed, making it a bit darker. The bar and table setup have stayed the same.

 

The back room, while I didn't see it on Monday, I'm told partitions will be added by Wednesday. The dances are now $10, which is still cheap in comparision to some of the other lesser clubs. I don't know what kind of effect the partitions will have on the dances or on the price.

 

It was quite crowded on the cold Winter evening, especially for being a Monday. I did see Firecat while I was there, but I'm not sure if there were any other posters.

 

The boys that were there that I can remember were:

 

Yannick: Always gorgeous, cute, and sexy. Danced to Britney's new album mostly, which suits him.

 

Pierre-Luc: Beautiful face and body, and a really energetic dancer.

 

Francis: I love Francis. That boy is crazy...he screams sex, sometimes literally.

 

Roberto: Has a total 70s porn look and it really works on him. I'd never seen him before but I don't think he's new.

 

Damian: He's back at Taboo now.

 

Chris: Really fun and has the friendly straight boy attitude (although I suspect it only takes a few beers).

 

Ghislain (sp?): Gorgeous and eternally beautiful. You can just tell.

 

The only thing that bummed me out was the absence of Pierre :-( I really like him and he'd always been really friendly to me so I was hoping to see him back. I'm not sure if he's at any other bar right now...

 

As for me, I'm back to LA on Wednesday, absconding with one of the dancers! Be well everyone!

Thanks indeed, firecat. It's a great relief to know that Taboo is back and that the reopening went off successfully. Also nice to read your report of the changes and that it was well attended. Please keep those of us who have to attend only vicariously most of the time posted.

Taboo re-opens -- Thursday Night

 

Arrived about 8:30 PM and found the refurbished club as described by Firecat. The crowd was thin and never got much heavier the rest of the night -- except for our contingent: Firecat, Totally Oz and Escort Ryan and a couple of Oz's friends in addition to yours truly. Marc, where were you? We saved a spot at the head of the table for you? We managed to keep a couple of tables and and eight or ten chairs occupied (when we were not in the back) with our party and several dancers which rotated between our tables and the stage and back room as the occasion dictated. BTW, the partitions in back still are not completed although work has begun and it seems that it can be completed very easily -- hopefully by tonight. Partition will be by curtains and the hardware to suspend them is in place. The dancers are very enthusiastic about the partitions eagerly awaiting the completion.

 

The resized stage makes for a 'roomier' environment though I prefer a squared-off stage to the 'rounded' front -- a nit easily accommodated. The added pole is VERY NICE and the dancers love it!! So did I at ringside. :9 It gives a whole new perspective to the performance -- a hot one!! Even though the overall crowd was thin we didnt notice as there was lots of people and lots of energy at our tables. It was a great to have Taboo back again better than ever.

 

Speaking of dancers... there were maybe nine dancers in attendance -- all hotties :9 -- including: Damien who has been working out, Criss hotter than ever!!!!! and does he know how to work that pole, Pierre-Luc and Francis looking great and just shining about being back, Jordan also hotter than ever with a smile that would stop traffic and a dick that takes your breath away. Also Ghislaine and Joey (aka Dakota) -- another big dick on a small guy :o Roberto was MIA last night opting for video games at home. He'll be there tonight. Two others whose names escape me but I have clear recall of their dicks. :+

 

Stefan was back waiting on tables last night. The old bartender (was his name Michele?) has opted to stay with a local Karioke bar on St Cahterine St where he has been working since the closure. The head bartender now is the Asian guy whose name also escapes me right now.

 

Looking forward to the Friday night crowd.

Sounds like the cream of the crop is back at Taboo. Can't help but break into a BIG smile when you hear the names Damien, Roberto, Criss, Jordan, Pierre-Luc, Francis, Ghislaine, etc. BTW.. just a few random thoughts...but:

 

1) Francis is the WORST singer I have ever heard... still can't get over the night at the Karaoke bar that he "treated" us to a sampling of his voice.

 

2) On the other hand, Pierre-Luc has a beautiful voice!

 

3) It is really good that Jordan has come back to Taboo. He was considering staying out of dancing last I spoke to him. Really happy he changed his mind. Same with Ghislaine... glad to see him back from "retirement."

 

4) Damien is just a special cutie, but someone needs to spank Robby for staying home on a night when you guys went up there! lol (I volunteer)

 

5) I can visualize Criss using that pole for his dance number... and I like what I see!

I am very jealous of you guys! But I hope you guys continue to have a GREAT time. Please give new owner Claude my sincerest best wishes for his re-opening, and let him know that I will be depositing much of my next year's income in his newly refurbished facility very soon!

 

BTW... have you guys been able to check out some of the other Taboo quality dancers who don't dance at Taboo (e.g. Simon, Sebastian, etc)?

Well, TY is right on in everything he says. We normally agree on most everything. It was fun to sit with him and Firecat. Naturally, Escort Ryan was as hot as always. He wore a sexy Gucci see through shirt that allowed us to see his nipples. The other boys I brought from NYC had fun with the entourage.

 

As for Taboo: I love the new look. It looks fantastic with the new things they have added. I especially like the DJ booth and the bars on the top of the ceiling in the back room. The bars are on the top of the ceiling allow the boys to hold on to them and play around a bit more. I had 2 dancers back at one time playing with each other. The new bars certainly made things easier for them to bump and grind. (Of course that was only for 30 seconds at a time but it was enjoyable while it lasted)

 

Many of my favorite boys where there including Dakota and Jordan. These two boys are totally opposite but sexy together.

 

As always Pierre Luc and Francis are adorable and sweet and charming. They are the epitome of what Taboo was before and seems to be again. They create a very friendly atmosphere and their charm is spread around the whole bar.

 

As for the end of the night: I was one lucky bastard. After a quick bit to eat at Club Sandwich, I had six boys in my room for the night. Holy Shit! boys galore. Montreal! I love it here!

Taboo re-opens -- Friday night

 

Very interesting and fun day. It started with brunch at Ronielle's (reviewed once with a another to follow). Great guy, gorgeous, great time -- great masssage, great kisser, great..., a definite repeat. :9

 

Met Firecat and went to Campus for the afternoon. Spent time with Vladimir one of my longest dancer 'relationships' in Montreal. I always loose track of time when I'm with him. Fortunately he is not only a fair counter but generous in my favor in all ways. Also met a black dancer that used to dance at Taboo. I didnt get his name but he is definitely big fun in the back. A word about Carlos. Still haven't taken him back but this guy has balls like a bull, the largest I have seen on two legs. :o

 

After Campus, Firecat took me to a new 'French' restaurant find in Old Montreal. I didn't get the name (I'm consistent on this name thing this trip :+) but hopefulll he'll post it so others can try it. I had a full course meal of soup, roast pork w/ potato, salad, dessert and coffee -- all of it great and all for $14.75 CN.

 

Now on to Taboo... Firecat and I arrived about 8:15 to find the festivities underway with several customers in attendance. We also saw the two stage-side tables we occupied the previous night were open and staked out with 'Reserved' signs. Stefan, the the waiter and Claude the manager thought to reserve the tables for us -- how nice was that!! As an aside, I looked at one of the signs and saw under the printing 'Reserved' hand written in pencil 'for Mark'... lol. Mark not only to they reserve tables for you but you have your own 'Reserved' sign too. :7 Stefan took our order for drinks. He returned with them in a few minutes and said that they were complements of the manager, Claude. Later after escort Ryan, Oz and his boys arrived Claude again sent over another round of complementary drinks for all. (Later near club closing as I was waiting to escort four dancers to Le Club Sandwich, Claude sent Jerry, the other waiter, over with a warm coffee and Brandy, gratis -- one last one for the 'cold' road. It was a chilly night. )

 

The Friday crowd was good size, not SRO as on a hoilday weekend but very well attended. The dancers: Damien Pierre-Luc Francis Ghislaine, Joey (aka Dakota) Alex and one other, all from the night before. Roberto gave up the video games to make a showing. He is getting hotter and hotter as he takes on a body look similar to the former dancer Pierre w/o the tattos. Working out definitely agrees with Roberto. Jordan and Criss were MIA. Xavier, formerly of Adonis is now dancing at Taboo. There was a new face (and new big dick) Timmy, a very nice guy. Also another new dancer, Jimmy that looks like Frank from Campus afternoons.

 

Long after Firecat, Oz et. al. bailed, I closed the night by taking Damien, Roberto, Francis and Pierre-Luc to Club Sandwich. We had a place-setting set up for you Mark... just incase. Got to see Francis' new paramour up close... Mark you would be doing back flips over this guy. }(

 

I had the pleasure to meet VanBCGuy later in the evening and hope to see him again tonight.

 

Today I'm having Louie, who made quite a stir at Gaiety two weeks ago, over for 'brunch' . ;-) He has just returned from a week of fun in the sun sporting a new look with frosted hair. He looks just gorgeous. Then on to some Christmas shopping and I start the 'grind' all over again. The things I do for you, Mark... lol.

BTW, no sightings yet of Sebastien at campus. I'll try to stop in Adonis this afternoon to see it Simon is there.

That is one of my favorite traditions at Taboo! Great customer service. I still remember the time that they went scouring around the Village for Malibu because they had run out... and when they couldn't find any, they brought their own stash from home, just because someone in our party had ordered some. I really like Claude, and am glad he is keeping up this great tradition.

One of my favorite things of all... the post club dining with the dancers. I really really enjoy this. Sounds like you had the cream of the crop joining you! Wish I could have used the empty place at the table. And tell Francis, since you are sure I would like his new friend, that we have a date next trip at Club Date again (yes I would be willing to listen to his horrible singing if this new guy is as cute as you say! hehe)

I can confirm a Sebastian sighting last weekend (12/4-12/8) at Campus. It was the first time I have met him, and boy is he a treat. Very cute, and such a warm personality. I practically melt when I hear him speak, his accent drives me wild. He had no problem spending time chatting, in fact I got the impression he really appreciates the Americans and that we pay attention to him. He seems to work rather haphazardly though, which is perhaps why others have missed him. I get the impression he only works when he needs to. Sebastian will be just one of many reasons for me to return to Montreal soon!

Taboo re-opens -- Saturday Night

 

I woke early (10:30 am), made coffee, checked email and posted the preceding night activities. Then I had to get ready for Louis who was dropping by at 1:00 PM. I have to say that he has a very hot body – just my type – and a ‘world class ass’ IMO. }( Review to follow.

 

Firecat and I planned to meet up at Campus in the afternoon. I arrived first and saw cute Phil (the one you asked about Mark). :9 He is a real cutie twink and just as nice and pleasant as I remembered. We were headed to one of the VIP rooms when Firecat appeared. Firecat was disappointed that I had beaten him to Phil but was gracious in his runner up status. After our dances with Phil, Phil came over to hang with us at our table. The subject of pool (billiards) came up and Phil suggested that he could beat me at eight ball. I accepted the challenge and I proposed that we place a small wager to make it interesting – namely that the looser would have to go home with the winner . Phil, English being his second language, accepted a little too quickly… lol. Firecat blew the whistle on my ‘sucker bet’ but Phil was too gracious to back out. Then Frank came over and before I knew it the game had changed from Phil and I competing to Phil and I playing the team of Firecat and Frank (twink dancer). Pretty suave move on Phil’s part. Bottom line Phil and I sent Firecat and Frank to the showers early ( figuratively). Sylvester, Vladimir, Roberto and Frank were in attendance with a few other dancers but there were not that many dancers for a Saturday afternoon. No Sebastien sightings – sorry Mark. .

 

Afterward Firecat had a Opera to prep for and I met up with Oz et al for a nice dinner in Old Montreal before repairing to Club Taboo for the evening festivities. We arrived at Taboo around 9ish and the club was in full swing. Again Claude had reserved our tables for us. More of the same great energy. MIA dancers were Criss and Roberto but we still had ten hotties to keep the house warm. In addition to my ususals, I took the new dancer, Timmy in the back. He gives a very nice dance up close and has the smoothest skin. He is affectionate and a lot of fun.

 

Some of the curtain partitions were up though not yet enough to offer much privacy. It looks like they will be completed this next week. The curtains are of light colored drapery material. As Oz pointed out the overhead bars are a nice addition in the back allowing the dancers more ‘creative’ and ‘artistic’ moves. The crowd was fairly good size but could have been heavier, however, it was a cold night to be out. Firecat showed after the opera as did VanBCGuy who spent the rest of the evening with us. Another great night at Taboo, the third in a row, with lots of energy and cute boys and friendly wait staff and management. Eventually Oz, Firecat, and VanBCGuy called it a night leaving me to single-handedly entertain three dancers at Le Club Sandwich. Also the new dancer Timmy and a friend joined us there. It turned out to be a very late night but lots of fun with the guys.

 

A Nor’Easter was forecast for Sunday afternoon/evening so I planned to leave for home by noon as driving long distances in driving snow is not in my ‘Top Ten Fun Things To Do’. However, I opted to meet someone for a late breakfast and got out of town a few hours later. The net result: I hit snow just south of Burlington and it got nasty at Montpelier and stayed that way for the remainder of the way. X(

 

All in all a great three day weekend with old friends Oz and Firecat and new friend VanBCGuy and Taboo nights as the highlight. Taboo is back with the same great atmosphere, nice management and the overall friendliest dancers in town IMO, although there are friendly dancers at each of the clubs. ;-) :9 :* :o }(

 

For Marc: We and the dancers alike were missing you on this trip. All the dancers asked the first night if you were coming, as did the waiters and Claude the owner. Damien was really bummed out and Jordan expressed his disappointment as did most of the dancers. I assured them that you would see them early next year. And since you couldn’t be there this time, the travelog flavor is especially for you.

As always, traveling with TY is a true pleasure. He is a Total Gem of a man and one of the classiest guys I know. Plus, we have similar tastes in boys.

 

My weekend trip to Montreal was excellent. I had a blast. The old Taboo is back and enjoyable. I loved the new look and the atmosphere was outstanding. My last 2 trips to Montreal the bar was closed and it was a bit sad in Montreal without it. I made due on the last trips the best I could. But, Taboo is definately the shining star for me in Montreal and to see it back again was great!

 

Thanks to Tampa Yankee, Firecat and Escort Ryan for a great trip. All three guys are fun to hang with and made my trip more enjoyable.

 

Also, thanks to the management at Taboo for making us feel so welcome!

BTW, for those interested. I stayed at the Delta, 475 Pres. Kennedy Blvd. (Metro stop: Place des Arts) at $30 US per night courtesy of Priceline.com. For cigar lovers there is a very fine cigar store down the block. Ordinarily I dont smoke cigars but some of the cuban issues with a glass of Cognac can put an interesting buzz on. And these expensive ones don't stink like the cheap ones.
