New York City hustlers

Can anyone who is familiar with the New York City hustler scene give some help? What are the bars and/or outside areas that are best for meeting hustlers? Obviously, I'm interested in places that would be considered "safe". Specifically places in the Manhattan mid-town area. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've met some nice guys who hustle in my hometown. New York escort prices are just too high - even more so that others areas and hustlers are available at a fraction of the price and many times seem to be more appreciative of the "help" you give them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it's still open, try a place called "Circles" on the East side (2nd and 57th ??). In summer, some additional trade hung out in the street and at a nearby pizza-by-the-slice joint. It's been a while since my last visit, so all this might be gone.

During a recent visit I had good luck at Stella's on 47th street, not very far from the Gaiety Theater. However, use some caution, as I was also ripped off by one of the guys I met there.

Hi, The "Townhouse" is a hustler bar. The customers there are usually friendly (for New Yorkers) and sometimes it is possible to meet a handsome guy who is available for a price. Check it out. The neighborhood is relatively safe.

I'm old enough to remember Rounds in New York. Now that was a hustler bar! The boys were gorgeous and it was easy to meet them as they gathered around the bar or the piano. You could have something to eat with them right there or spirit one off to your place. The Townhouse just doesn't do it for me.

 

I don't like the way people sit around on sofas looking up at you as you enter the main room. It just doesn't facilitate casual hook-ups. Also not nearly the number of young lovelies I remember at Rounds. I was there last summer and had dinner with a friend after drinks at the bar (nothing interesting, despite the fact it was gay pride weekend) and ditto for the restaurant (which is down the street in a separate building).

 

Well, that's my lament for the day!:-(

I would rather go to a lesbian bar than spend a minute at the Townhouse.

What's wrong with a Lesbian bar? It seems like there are not very many of them compared to gay men's bars. I personally like almost all Lesbians I have met and known, and they deserve places to go to mingle and cruise also.

 

One of my ex-bfs, back in the 80's when I lived in Phoenix for the first time had a sister coming for a visit from Atlanta. We were to take her out, and I'm going like where do I know to take a str8t woman. Turns out she's a Lesbian and we hit all the Lesbian bars in Phoenix. I had a great time, and just like guys using the ladies room, I found myself in the men's room with Lesbians wanting to come in to use the facilities. I'll never forget their reaction to see a guy in the men's room in their bar! Didn't bother me, didn't bother them as we all just laughed and carried on. I had a great time with her in her environment, and to this day we keep in touch, which is more than I can say for her brother.

Well, Stella's is great for a bar for hustlers. You will often find what you are looking for inside. There are some hanging around outside as well that should not be overlooked. I have always had good experiences with the boys at Stella's.

 

There are a few bookstores on 8th and 41st that are hopping during the day lunch break at at 5-7 at night. Mostly oral but more can happen.

 

Christopher Street is a hoot on a weekend night. Tons of cute younger boys walking around the street and several are working boys.

Think twice about hiring someone outside. Imagine why they are not allowed inside.

I agree with you there. However, there is one boy in particular I see there quite often who I have been with many times and is great. Kathy does a good job of keeping rif raf out. But, sometimes, if a boy causes trouble inside with another boy, they are banned forever. I know of a few guys this happened to. I understand this. But, I have also been ripped off by guys outside before too.

 

One good memory. Years ago, I met the sweetest kid ever outside. He stayed with me for about one month. He wasn't allowed in because he was 20 and they didn't buy his fake ID. We still keep in touch and he is still as sweet as ever. And, to boot, he now has very good reviews on this site.

 

That being said, I would still be cautious of the outside.
