So my thread here on Vietnam/Cambodia got no responses and so far less than 40 views. My story on Bangkok massage parlors got two responses, as did my story on Bangkok fuck shows. Hardly makes it worth the trouble to post the stuff.

 

My point isn't so much about myself, not that it isn't partly, but you guys want interesting forums then you have to put your own fingers to the keyboard or these forums will go nowhere.

 

Just an opinion.

I was in Vietnam and Thailand in late Nov/early Dec.

I had a nice time as a tourist in northern Vietnam for 12 days and didn't concur with the impression you had. So I've been thinking about replying in that thread. You were right that gay life is suppressed there.

 

Some people read and digest the learned posts, but aren't the verbal types to express their every thought on what they read.

So don't feel bad that your posts were a waste of effort.

Charlie, that might be because there is no such thing as a street hustler anymore. But Asia, Africa, and Australia are still going pretty strong by all accounts I hear...except here!

It appears that the number of us interested in SE Asia is very limited. I certainly do not understand this but that's the way it is.

I was in Vietnam last year in januari in Hanoi

I found it depressing : cold grey weather(12C),ugly man in "leather"jackets on noisy motorbike; bad museum .

There was a gay meeting place on the lake near a man's toilet(that's really depressing) where I picked up some boy who I had to put in the shower first.

I went to Halong bay wich is fantastic.

Everyone says Ho Chi Min is a paradise comparing to Hanoi ; I was not there.

Hello Lucky ,

I was in Cape Town South Africa for two weeks for Xmas and NY.

I just stayed there and the country around CT.

All the gay live is centered on The Waterkant; it is part of the old town with beautifull small restored houses ; it is a nice place .

There are two houses with boys :

 

Knights which is far from the waterkant in a small shabby house; when I got there there were only five boys ; I took a mulatto boy who give me a so-so massage and a handjob ; I got back on NY day: it was closed and another time I came too early it opened only at 6pm.

 

The other house with boys is Barracks:it is in The Waterkant : so convenient situation; the first time I got there with 4 friends and there was only 1 boy ; on another day I went, there were 2 boys and I took one nice 22years old boy who gave me a good massage and good sex .

Conclusion : for houses with boys you should not come to CT ; Bangkok and Rio are much better .

 

I stayed in a gay guest Kloof 65 but I left after 3 days because it was shabby , with 3 dogs running around and generally a run-down place and I got to a small apartment

The best gay guest house I saw is Glenn ; nice place and well kept

People in general are friendly ; it is not as dangerous as I thought

Nature is very beautifull , nice beaches but icecold water

Thanks for the report. Some of us would think that three dogs added to the enjoyment of a place, but you give plenty of good reasons not to stay there.

 

It is unlikely that I will ever see Africa. Years ago friends fell in love with Kenya, but I never made it and it's too late now.

 

As for Rio, I do think the men there are better than anywhere else I have been.

As has been written in the "Street Hustlers'" forum in earlier posts, this type of activity has undergone a 90% decline with the advent of the internet and all of the outlets that are available there to "hook up!"

 

Neighborhoods in our cities where this activity was rife a few years back have since dried up now, example: Polk Street, San Francisco and Santa Monica Blvd. in LA.

I've been to both continents but my sexual exploits and adventures were quite, quite different than they are today. I lived in Melbourne for two years and could have been a "true slut" but chose not to!

Just got back from two weeks in Sydney and Melbourne...Both must see places..Darling Harbor in Sydney has all the sights including the Opera House and the Aquatic Museum. Bondi Beach was fun too!

 

Lot of eye candy around in Oz...and a good way to hook up with others is through a website called cracker.com. Sauna action in Sydney is available at 357 on George Street and in Melbourne at the Subway Sauna

near Flinders Station. Both nice places to visit and very clean!

 

Went to the Oz Open tennis matched and had the opportunity to watch Djokovich and Tsonga in action. Tsonga looks like a younger Muhammed Ali!!
