I know it's rude to a ask a lady her age ,but as someone who is not shy in asking those penetrating questions !!!! i wondered if people who reveal how old they are ,IMHO the vast majority of people on this board are between the ages of say 35-60 it would be interesting to find out if i am right,BTW i am 31(born 12/17/69).Andy

I'm 48 but most people guess my age at late 30's. (Either they are gracious liars or I don't look my age.)

 

FYI, I hate it when someone asks me my age and I usually don't tell them the truth (this post is an exception). Also hate birthday celebrations at work. (If you want an excuse for ice cream and cake, then celebrate the anniversary of my hire date with the company.) I view birthdays as a very person thing and despise celebrating them.

When I turned 30 I started telling people I was 40. I had 10 glorious years of hearing "Wow! You don't look that old!" ;-)

 

When I actually *was* 40, I had a t-shirt that said "this is what 40 looks like" and a young chick gave me the ultimate compliment: "No way! You're not 40!" (I suppose that could go the other way, eh?)

 

A woman I once worked with (in her 60's) said it best: age is a matter of mind. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

When I was a drama major at the University of Denver, there was one excercise that our department head did with every beginning acting class that he taught, and then you were basically sworn to secrecy about it, at least to the newbies. He was would ask each class member to get up on the stage and walk around being 75 (if I remember the number correctly)(of course this changed every year). Then after they had basically all shuffled and shaked their way across the stage (looking if anything like decrepit hundred year olds, many of them),he would pull the zinger on them by announcing that he himself was actually 75!

Is it that we all feel we look 10 years younger than we are or is it that we all feel that a specific age should look at least 10 years older than it does? Which came first, the chicken or his legs in the air, um, I mean, the egg?

My first trick who was older than me summed it up best when I asked his age.......

 

If you are younger than me YOU are Young If older than Me than You are OLD.... Age is relative ...

 

Have always told my age ( 44 at present )

 

My biggest gripe about the aging process is changing my mind on what I've found to be sexy and fun.... If I'd only have know how horny and sexy middle aged guys really are back (not to mention more mature ) then I'd certainly have had a hell of a lot more sex back then....
