Bruno or whoever is posting on his behalf,

May I make a friendly suggestion? You're going to quickly (if you haven't already) develop a credibility problem if messages posted under BRUNO GAUCHO continue to have great differences in writing abilities. I suspect that maybe you try to post most messages yourself, but other times (like the message above), you are having someone help you. And if that is the case, that's great!

But I recommend that if you ARE having someone help you write a particular message, that you indicate this in the message itself. As you probably know already, some on this board are already questioning whether it is really you posting messages. And posting some of your messages in very halting English and others in excellent English will only add to that suspicion and damage your credibility.

I can't help but be curious; who is actually posting what here?

Wait a minute: HB is in Sao Paulo, but he is working night and day to catch up on redundant reviews of the most popular escorts in the western world --- isn't he? :9

Actually, I have not left my hotel ROOM yet. I was felled by the FLU on day one. I'm on the sidelines right now. :(

(This is the first chance I've even had to check out the MESSAGE CENTER)

TV SUCKS here!!!!!!!!!!!! And that's the only sucking that's happened in my hotel room.

The more I read about this place, the more fearful I get to even venture out.

I really want to go home.

Where are my ruby red slippers when I need them?

I'm confused! What sucks about TV in Brazil? I'm sure your hotel (if it's the big international one you mentioned in your e-mail) has cable/satellite with BBC, CNN and various other cable channels with English content. The local equivalent of CNN is GloboNews, which is actually quite good. Of course, Globo is one of the world's largest networks (the largest outside the U.S., I think). Some of it's programming definitely appeals to the lowest common denominator, but it's evening novelas (soap operas) are very well produced and a huge export product around the world. The eight-o'clock novela is the prime time big deal one. Currently, it's "Esperança," which I've caught a bit of. It's a period piece set in what looks like the forties, during the Vargas dictatorship, and dealing with love triangles in the context of a labor conflict. Reinaldo Gianecchini, the bearded lead, is high on the list of Brazilian hearthrobs of the decade. . .

Sorry about the flu! Dr. Tri recommends an immediate trip by ambulance taxi to Lagoa, where some sessions of steam and sauna should help a lot! Not to mention some TLC by some handsome caregivers! Of course, don't forget ibuprofen (Motrin is sold in Brazil) which is fabulous for aches and pains, and excellent chicken soup is available most anywhere. In Portuguese it's called "canja" (pron. KAHN-zsa, rhymes with Zsa-Zsa).

We're expecting FULL reports!

You are of course right in what you say about indicating in the message that it has been written with help from a native English speaker. The omission was unintentional. But that fact would seem to be fairly implicit, as you figured out in your post. It would seem that any fair-minded readers or "men of good will" or "the reasonable man" would make exactly the inference that you did; and as for the Trash Bruno Mafia (TBM), nothing will convince or satisfy them, or deter them from reinterpreting anything having to do with Bruno in a negative light. They can and do turn positive reviews into negative ones, make fun of someone who tries to express himself in imperfect English, distort facts, and question the existence of a well-credentialed escort. I think the more appropriate question is: Why would anyone assume anything *other* than that someone was helping Bruno with his English for an important post?[p]

.[p]

--Those who are SUSPICIOUS, those who are "SUSPICIATED", the TBM, and ANY & ALL,[p]

If nothing else, *IF* someone were clever and careful enough to perpetrate this elaborate a hoax -- running for several months and complete with a website in another country containing over 25 pictures, reviews on this site, comments from known members of the message center attesting to having seen Bruno at the Gaiety, and comments from HooBoy stating that he had personally met and spoken to Bruno -- *IF* someone were that clever and careful, it is unlikely that he would be so dumb and careless as to post sometimes in broken English and sometimes in native English under Bruno's name.[p]

[p]

> I can't help but be curious; who is actually posting what here?[p]

[p]

It's really not very devious or complicated at all. [p]

To solve the mystery, *I* composed the English text at the head of this thread upon request from Bruno, who told me what he wanted to say. I then sent the text *to him*, and *HE* posted it himself, under his own name, instead of me posting it under mine.[p]

This was not the first time that I or someone else helped Bruno post in English. Back during the summer when he was still trying to get his visa to the US, he asked me to post his plans and progress in the message center, which I did under my own name, reporting it as news from Bruno. The visa saga was a long one and there were updates stating the delay and postponing the expected month of his arrival. He asked me to do that because of his then even more limited command of English, which was mostly passive. He also asked some others to post information, which they did. [p]

Since there had been a flurry of palpitations when Bruno's first review had hit this site in May -- initiated by one Fin Fang Foom, who at that time was very enthusiastic about Bruno and "want<ed> to live in Rio", but who later became a charter member of the Trash Bruno Mafia and who now openly doubts Bruno's very existence -- it seemed that there was interest on this site in knowing about Bruno's travel plans. But as a result, those acting as information conduits for Bruno -- along with some others who simply had the temerity to be favorably disposed towards Bruno -- were accused by the TBM of conducting a "six-month marketing campaign" and Bruno was subjected to rather heavy and persistent trashing.[p]

When Bruno arrived in the US, he wanted to make certain information and requests known, and he asked me and others to put his messages into good English for him, which he then posted himself, like this time.[p]

After being here for a month, learning more English, and getting some practice, he felt more confident about trying to compose in English himself. At some times his efforts are more successful than at others. When he chose to send holiday greetings to his new American friends -- both those that had a chance to meet him and those that know him only from the message center -- his efforts were derided and parodied, and the message was lost amid all the flames (just consider how many of the 65 replies to date are "on topic"). A few days later when his email account was cancelled and he needed to let people know of his new address, the same thing started to happen again, and in addition his post may not have been entirely clear. Since he was not able to get the mail that some people were sending him, he was concerned and wanted to have a clear post explaining the situation and giving his new address. So I composed one for him and sent it to him. [p]

It's not any more nefarious than that. [p]

And the Bruno Gaucho pr campaign continues on and on and on and on ad nauseum. If nothing else, the man is a marketing genius, as it seems every thread about him generates tons of posts which keeps his name in the forefront. Man, you have got to admire that! I think it is great! I hope Jesus Christ gets as much publicity for his second coming, as Bruno is getting for his second coming to the U.S. :7

Whether you are pro, con or neutral about Bruno, unless you have met him personally, you don't know what his English speaking and writing skills are. Since multiple identities are easy to establish on this site, you really don't know who is posting what and under what identity.

Let's not forget that the primary function of this site is an escort market place, where the clients can find out about the escorts and the overall escort scene, but also allows escorts to market themselves. I'm sure that most escorts are aware of this fact as are the escort listing sites as most of them have links to the reviews posted here. This is a benefit to the entire community, both to the escorts and the clients who hire them. As Hooboy said, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that the clients don't know about and never will know about.

I really don't understand why some clients who don't know Bruno, feel they need to jump to his defense or on the other hand, sing his praises. Like any good escort, he has targeted a segment of the client market that he wants to market to, and he has the skills to use the available resources of this site to advertise himself, just as the client can use other resources to "check out the merchandise". :D

There is a very simple way for the TBM to prevent that: don't trash or attack Bruno -- not for his marketing, his reviews, his English or anything else. Then there won't be all those posts.[p]

Well, I *do* know Bruno, and I don't understand "why some <posters> who don't know Bruno, feel they need to" trash him and attack him at every opportunity. He is gorgeous, hung, a good escort, and a nice sweet kid. What's wrong with that?[p]

There is absolutely Nothing wrong with that.

But, this site IS a place to discuss escorts, both (+) and (-). As a bystander(or lurker) on the multiple Bruno comments, someone that will probably never get to Brazil, live several hundred miles from NYC, has never met him, talked to him, nor e-mailed him I must admit I find him cute (in both appearance and with his attempts to post in English). With all the chatter about Bruno I just might try to find my way to NYC if he returns for a "2" hour date.

With all the (+) and (-) post I feel he has come out looking pretty good. Just one bystanders opinion.

Perhaps I never should have left Houston. I spent several days there between Paris and Sao Paolo and I spent it with my wonderful family, with great nieces & nephews whom I love dearly but also got away for a wild New Years at Grandma's, which was better than anything I could have found in any country. Wonderful friends, new and old, unbelievable sex...a great party!

Anyway, once a year I get the flu and after being on airplanes, breathing other people's crap for 64 hours within 2 months, I figure it was about time.

Everything with me is great. I am feeling well enough today to venture out. I am hiring a tour guide/body guard. For some reason I am very scared here.

Thanks for your concern and enjoy the end of Jan with SDBD. I'm so jealous!!!

First there was the VRWC now the TBM. Acronyms are all the rage nowadays. With that in mind, I would like to say that I'm a charter member of PWATODSATWWATAORIADWM.

Ok, we have three options here:

1) You don't pay attention.

2) You have confused what I said with someone else's mutterings.

3) You're intentionally misrepresenting what I have said.

I have NEVER questioned his EXISTENCE. What I have been suspiciated about was whether he was actually writing the Margaret Cho-esque posts or if someone else has been doing it to jerk everyone's chain.

Furthermore, I have not been "trashing" Bruno "Of The Short Stature And Tall Penis" Gaucho. I said that he could charge anything he liked for his "time" ($400), however, I wasn't going to pay that much just to see him squirt. But I'm not going to rehash a subject that was tedious, at best.

Please, in the furture, do not misquote me or misrepresent my positions. It makes me snarky.

Snarkily yours,

FFF

As a I scrolled this site this morning-- I noticed additional remarks made merely about Bruno Gaucho's new email address and thought and began reading the new additions.

<And the Bruno Gaucho pr campaign continues on and on and on and on ad neuseum. If nothing else...

I definitely concur with you!

I immediately said, "Damn, don't they ever let up!"

<He is gorgeous, hung, a good escort, and a nice sweet kid...

What's wrong with that?

Back whenever Bruno was introduced to US, I became excited. Your assessment mirrors my sentiments, too, and as a result of what I saw and read then and now-- I am very curious and plan to make arrangements to see him (if possible) in April of 2003, this year, when I return to Brasil for the THIRD time.

The first visit didn't completely work for me; I am going for eleven days pre--during-- and after Carnaval, and I plan to return in April for at least fifteen or twenty days, taking in Sao Paulo (where I hope to meet the "Escort of the Year", Bruno Gaucho and Artur for guiding and escorting, and a few outstanding men at Lagoa! Along with my sexual appetite being satisfied, I intend to have the cultural side completed, too!

Interesting that this should be such an issue to you when you've admitted in the past that you wrote the FFF-esque posts and rebuttals for NJ escort Jason Coxx. Talk about being suspiciated.

Why stop now? That's all you ever do.
