Those of us of a certain age can remember being told by our fathers – “It’s just the guys!” – as it related to locker rooms or group nudity. I asked my sister once if that was the attitude in the women’s locker room – “It’s just the gals!” She replied, “Oh, hell, no!” LOL. I can’t help but feel, sometimes, that group male nudity might be more a result of the inclusion of alcohol. I’ll agree with the OP that photos of men comfortable in the nude with other men have a certain appeal. Particularly, for me, when the guys are just your average “regular Joes”.

When I was young, being naked with a bunch of other guys, particularly in a locker room, wasn’t a big deal.  Sure, you checked each other out but it didn’t usually go beyond that.  Nowadays, when I’m changing in a locker room, I’m often the only one who gets completely naked.  I miss the days when you could be in a locker room talking with other guys with no one really concerned about who was naked and who wasn’t.

I was always terribly shy. My mother would tell me, "you don't have anything that every other boy has." It didn't help. We were supposed to shower after gym class in junior high, yet we always tried to avoid it. One day the coach comes in and says, "I want to see EVERYONE in the shower today." I was horrified; terrified I'd sprout a boner.

In reality the experience was a non event. Everyone got in and got out without any problem whatsoever. I realized it was not a sexualized event. It was just a shower, and other guys were kinda shy as well. I did not feel a bit horny or even slightly turned on.

I remember this when the topic of gay guys playing team sports. You always hear the complaints about "not wanting to be naked or in the shower with a gay guy." In the end it's just a shower. Everyone gets in and gets out as quickly as possible. Well, usually. But my point is I've never wanted to jump somebody's bones the moment we're both naked in the shower. We just get in and get out. Sure, there's lots of porn out there making it into a fuck session. But I think that's just porn.

After that junior high moment I was never worried again about taking a shower with other guys. Now, if we're all at a gay "spa" or some such place.....well......
