Not sure where this belongs, but a trip down memory lane for me.

Got an email notification that my Yahoo! mail will be permanently deleted since I haven't used it for ages. I completely forgot I even had a yahoo account. So I log in to see what I had used yahoo mail for, and low and behold, I find this:

When I first learned about this special hobby, Rentboy was the site I made my first hire on. My first hire was a dream come true. And that led me to Daddy's old site.

Many years ago, back when I had Sirius XM, I listened to the Out-Q station.  From time to time one or two of the shows on Out-Q included interviews with Rentboy providers.   Was fun.  

After Out-Q was dropped by Sirius XM, I ended my subscription.  

Not long after came the Federal raid which shut down Rentboy.   That was a little jarring to me, after all the light hearted frivolity on Out-Q, to hear the Feds came in and shut it down.

The business, such as it is, will be always a target of selective moral outrage. Rentboy made some lasting careers in spite of being forced down. 

I recall I liked the format, and was easy to use for contact prior to smartphones.

Rentmen really appreciated Rentboy's demise. 

Plus not being based in the US has its advantages.

I wish Rentboy was on the Internet Archive, but last time I tried it wasn't.  :-(

I loved Rentboy. The years 2000-2014 were the heyday of hot providers!
