soloyo215 Posted Thursday at 11:43 AM Posted Thursday at 11:43 AM I just want to share this, but I am curious to know if there are others who have had situations like this, when the massage session doesn't go exactly as planned. I was looking forward to booking an appointment with one of my favorite masseurs. He's great with both the massage and the extras, and I like that he's not a clock watcher. I've seen him several times and had a great time... except this time. Nothing to do with him, though. First, I should have listened to my body. I had just started to recover from a cold that refused to leave my body for months. I was fine, but I could have waited another week, but I guess I was thinking with the wrong head. I was late for the appointment, which is a first. Then I also needed a shower before the massage, which I have done before at this masseur's. I fell in the shower and hurt one of my legs, but there was no way I was going to cancel, so I went on. I have no idea how while drying my body, I cut one of my fingers. Not a deep cut, but it bled a lot and took some time to stop it. Finally, I am on the massage table, and about 40 minutes or so into the massage, I started feeling a terrible pain in my lower back, and like that's not enough, I started feeling a pain on my penis. I had to stop the massage and ask him if he has some Ibuprofen. He didn't, but I got some aspiring. While he went of the aspirin, I had the "genius" idea of putting on my penis some Lidocaine cream I had for the pain. It's a good cream, but I forgot that the one I was carrying in my backpack had menthol, so when I put it, it started feeling like my penis was on fire. Needless to say, I had to stop the session, and I just tried to remove that cream and resume the time just talking and laughing at the rather stressful session. And of course, since I was naked in an environment with lowered temperature, I started coughing again. Later I found that the pain in the lower back turned out to be a kidney stone. If there's a lesson there for me to learn, I'm not sure I got what it is. Leandronyc and MassageCommunityMember 1 1
+ PhileasFogg Posted Thursday at 12:13 PM Posted Thursday at 12:13 PM Well, the lesson to me is not to put lidocaine on the boy - menthol or not 🤪 Hope you’ve recovered (mentally and physically 😂) soloyo215 1
Runningguyindc Posted Thursday at 01:40 PM Posted Thursday at 01:40 PM Sounds terrible. I am so sorry you went through this. Biggest lesson, if it were me, would be to listen to my body and what ir needs to feel completely normal before going to a massage. Hopefully your provider is understanding! StarQualityLuke Posted Thursday at 05:50 PM Posted Thursday at 05:50 PM (edited) Just live & learn and your next time, just listen to your body and listen to your heart, if you feel it's not a good idea to get the massage, then don't, it's that simple..... You can always reschedule Edited Thursday at 05:51 PM by StarQualityLuke Redwine56, Runningguyindc and soloyo215 2 1
jeezifonly Posted Thursday at 06:37 PM Posted Thursday at 06:37 PM Wow. That's a day worth forgetting, which will happen soon enough, mate. But before you do, write up the elevator pitch for a sitcom episode! Redwine56, viewing ownly and soloyo215 1 1 1
Leandronyc Posted Thursday at 08:20 PM Posted Thursday at 08:20 PM I’m very sorry you had to go through such an ordeal. Also, I hope the whole experience doesn’t ruin the good rapport you have with the masseur. Hopefully he wasn’t weirded out by the whole situation. MassageCommunityMember and soloyo215 2
FLJock Posted Thursday at 08:28 PM Posted Thursday at 08:28 PM If you tried to pitch that as a sitcom episode it would likely be rejected as something completely out of the realm of possibility. Hope you recover soon and can go back to the provider, as he is one of your favorites. Tactile Daddy, soloyo215 and MassageCommunityMember 1 2

+ MysticMenace Posted Friday at 01:05 AM Posted Friday at 01:05 AM This is definitely another version of 'a series of unfortunate events' but you've already stated the lesson for you to learn within your original post - just gotta implement it. 13 hours ago, soloyo215 said: If there's a lesson there for me to learn, I'm not sure I got what it is. 13 hours ago, soloyo215 said: First, I should have listened to my body soloyo215 1
